it has to be beckett he has won alot of big games in the young career already

he won a game 4 and a game 7 of a world series

he won the game 7 of this on 3 days rest at yankee stadium as he was a rookie

this just tells you he can keep his composure and lead your team to a victory

he has won 2 games this post seasonm alreadyt where he looked almost unhittable in the games

i think when it comes to a big game and you had to have a pitcher right this second it has to beckett there is just no way around that i dont think

good question

I doubt I will even get the best answer, and most of all of them, expect for really 2 I have, I don't really deserve. But I can denfily tell you, what active start pitcher I don't want, and that is Kerry Wood and Mark Prior, any starters like them. Yes, I do know that Kerry Wood is in the bullpen for the Chicago Cubs, I won't want these 2 players, because the only thing they really ever do, whehter they mean it or not, is being injured. I would want a starter like Greg Maddux, one that is healty, look at him, he has been very rarely on the DL, one time still as far as I know of, and look at his age.

Beckett without a doubt. Not only by just looking at his postseason resume of three shutouts, but Schilling said that his performance in game 1 of the Division Series was as dominant a performance as he'd ever seen, and could have easily been a no-hitter. That guy always wants the ball and is hungry to win.

Josh Beckett obvious answer, 3 post season complete game shutouts, two in big games against yankees in world series and cubs when they're team (Marlins) were down 3-1 in the series

ANY Cincinnati Reds pitcher would be good enough for me because it would mean the Reds were playing in a big game, which they haven't done for quite a few years now.
