Working for a baseball franchise is a steady job - unless the team relocates - but you have to be very high up on the corporate ladder to make a decent wage. There are perks to the right jobs, but the vast majority of employees have nothing to do with on-field activities and rarely - if at all - are near the playing field during the season.

it would be a dream come true. id be the damn janitor for the yankees!!! just to work in YANKEE STADIUM would make it worth it. walk the halls that ruth, mantle, and dimaggio walked. if i had a choice I would want to be their owner, i wouldnt let any young talent go and i would stop buying has beens and bring in some young talented pitching to go along with the guys we already have. and i wouldnt pay ANYBODY 30 MIL. if you want to play for me and win a WS then lets go. if not go somewhere else.

I would do anything to work for the Yankees!
I don't care what I would be doing, as long as I got access to the stadium & free entrance to the games.
And of course, getting to see A-Rod at batting practice would be the cherry on my sundae!!!!

i already work in the sports industry and i wont lie, its a lot of hard work and long hours, but its worth it if you have the drive and determination to make it where you want to go. Im not working for my favourite team just yet, but it would be nice to someday. You just have to remember to not let your "fan-dom" get in the way of being an employee too!

Knowing my luck,I'd get a baseball job and work for a ****** like George Steinbrenner(like George Costanza on "Seinfeld")-some time dream jobs turn into nightmares.
