I'm really tempting the dragon, since the 2007 championship isn't yet in hand, but heck, live dangerously.

Yankees fen: the 2004 Red Sox took away your "1918" chant.

You sensibly moved on to "it'll be another 86 years" as your new Red Sox fan taunt. Well, that one's about to be scraped into the ashcan in a day or two.

So, what will be the new taunt or insult for Sox fen? I realize you still have "26" to thrust forth, but that really is soooo 20th century, and there should be something more forward-looking to best attempt intimidation and aggravating harassment.

What's it going to be? You're going to need it next April, so let's get cracking.

Why do people think that is an insult to Red Sox fans. When you say the Red Sox are the new Yankees thats a pretty big compliment. Yes there our biggest rivals but you cant ignore what they've done.

If when you say that the Red Sox are the new Yankees, what do you think bothers me about that. Because there winning? Because they have a high payroll? Because alot of people like them? Because there finally playing like "real" Red Sox know they can? Because there using all the talent to win ball games? Because they have a lights out closer?

So I dont really understand why thats such a bad thing, to be considered the new best team in baseball.

Did anyone else notice that annoying fan behind home plate who waved his towel and shook it side to side every time the Red Sox pitcher got ready to pitch a ball???????

It was maddening watching it.

Why do they allow this behind the plate???? It seems rude and childish!

I mean if you have to resort to distraction then your team must be bad!

During Game 3 last night of the WS when that phillips guy was singing"God Bless America the rockies fans cheered when he sang "....from the mountains(i don't care about that) but when he sang "...to the prairie, to the ocean" the classless jerks in colorado booed! your booing an American song? yeah good sportsmanship, good thing your pathetic team, who are jokes, lost and are down 3-0 and most likely getting swept! Even the "rudest, drunkest, dumbest Red Sox fans don't do that. GO SOX!!!!

Today on Yankees.com I read an article that stated the organization is close to making a decision concerning the new manager of the Yankees. The three choices are: Joe Girardi, Don Mattingly, and Tony Pena. The decision is to be made Monday and announced on Tuesday.
In your honest opinion, who do you think the new manager will be and why?
The 10 points will go to the person not based upon opinion, but on reasons why you feel this person is best for the job. Thanks!

Look I love Baseball, his has to be one of the worst postseasons in baseball history. The Tiebreaker game was awesome - but a game that desn't officially count as the playoffs was the most exciting game of all; the Division series only went one game more than the minimum (CLE beat NYY in 4), the NLCS was a dud and the ALCS went 7 but all nearly all were high scoring blowouts. Of course this world series is probably going to be a sweep (with game 4 today). Side question: How bad is this world series?

Why do baseball pitchers rarely get a base hit or homeruns? They all look about the same size as other players so should'nt they be just as good?

As in 2004, I've got a fine bottle of Taittinger ready for soon after the final out of the fourth win. My daughter is already anticipating watching me pour champagne on my head again, though the wife has laid claim to getting to drink some this time (she was pregnant back then and wouldn't touch a sip, fair enough).

So, what is your celebratory beverage gonna be?

(Lay out some green for the good stuff! Championships don't come around often. I'm certainly not expecting another one within the next three years!)

I'm not a Red Sox fan, I'm a Patriots fan, but I'm watching the Red Sox, in the post season and they're crushing people like the Pats do. The Rockies come back with 3 runs, to put the game close, and the Red Sox answer right back, just like the Pats do when another team is getting the score close. Do these teams feed on each other?
