I think it's stupid for us the taxpayer to pay for a new stadium whenever a team whines about wanting a new one. If the team ownership want it so bad let them pay for it. I think it's very unfair when the owners expect the public to bail them out. Many of these regular taxpayers won't even be able t afford to go to these stadiums when they are finally made. At least i give Steinbrener credit for that. The Yankees are footing the majority of the bill for the new stadium.

For all the 1 run games they have lost, and for all the runners left stranded as K.C. left filled their power spots with 2 rookies (no offense to them, they have been great), if they had a power hitter who could hit 30+ homers, or even 2 hitters that could hit 23+ homers, do you think that Kansas City would have more of a chance at having at least an 80 win season?

My pick would be Johnson. Unlike today's crybaby pitchers Johnson would pitch complete games regardless of stupid pitch counts & come back to do it again 2 days later.Meanwhile Beckett will probably cry whine & plead to get out after throwing 80 pitches. Johnson is the perfect example of how great pitching was back then compared to the spoiled wusses of today.

Mike Winters was right. He is a "piece of sh*t."

They have their eyes on him because of the crap he has done in the past.........and he did throw his bat towards the home plate ump after the strikeout in his previous at-bat. Piece of trash.

As this story begins to unfold i can see this happening. Boras has had talks with who he thinks will buy the cubs. The report is 30 mil over the next 10 seasons.. however a rod would have a part of the ownership if the cubs get him.We all know that players like a rod and griffey would like to play for lou again. This would be about as big as the soriano deal was if not bigger.Griffey even has mention that he would play for lou cheap if the cubs were interested.

He wants to keep playing after this season and the Giants won't take him back, and if a team did sign him I'm sure the fans would disapprove. The final decision is up to the owner if he wants Bonds or not, but I can't think of anybody that would take him and risk the fans' reactions.

Cubs had only four magic numbers left as thanks to Braves defeated Brewers as Cubs' lead of the division had increased to 2 1/2 over Brewers. Mets and D-Backs has only five magic numbers left this week.

Indians and Angels always won the divisions titles as AL Central and AL West. Red Sox alway spotted the playoff yesterday as might end the season with division title or wild card.

What do u think about that?

Okay, I know that Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox are 2 cross town rivals teams, so this question is more for Chicago White Sox fans only. And of course Chicago Cubs fans will cheering for the Chicago Cubs. But Chicago White Sox fans, if there are any left, will you be cheering for the Chicago Cubs, even when they are making thier quest for the playoffs. And of course, we know that the Chicago White Sox won the World Series in 2005, but will you be cheering for the Chicago Cubs, why or why not? You have to tell me, do you plan to cheer for the Chicago Cubs, and why or why not will you do?

Im 13 years old, 5'4, 100.5 pounds and im a boy, and I really need to know how to throw the ball faster. Does it matter how big you, or is it just how much muscle you have. I can throw 55 MPH tops, but the kids in my new league are really good and a lot bigger. Does anyone have any suggestions for increasing my pitch speed?

Even if the Mariners and the Angels finish tied, I thought the Angels won the season series, so the Angels should win the AL West no matter what? How is it they haven't clinched yet technically?
