u r nuts if u think roger needs to come back to boston. he will never come back to boston, he's too attached to NY and the fans love him there. give matsuzaka some time; he has to adjust to the american style of baseball. MLB is a lot different than japanese baseball. in a couple of years he could win the cy young, like JOSH BECKETT. GO RED SOX!!! they will at least make it to the alcs, they own both the indians and the angels, and the angles own the yankees, so if the sox play the indians, than we should end up with a boston-LAA alcs, then red sox take that in 6. red sox vs. cubs in world series, and the red sox take that in 5 or 6.

I am a Red Sox fan and I am very worried about their playoff pitching rotation. Obviously Beckett and Schilling are at the top of the order, but who else do you start? Hopefully not Dice K or Wakefield. That leaves Lester or Buchholz. It's a "maybe", not a lock. Yankees have Wang, Pettite, Clemens and Mussina. Indians have Sabathia, Westbrook, Carmona and Byrd. Angels have Lackey, Escobar, Weaver and Saunders. The Red Sox are the only AL team whose starting pitching rotation is still up in the air.

I've thought Dice K was a waste of money from day one. Well, that may be too harsh. He had done nothing to earn what we signed him for and I doubt if he ever will pitch well enough in MLB to earn that kind of money. We could have signed any proven major league pitcher for much less than the ridiculous money we shelled out for an unproven commodity.
Clemens can stay in NY all he wants as far as I'm concerned. He's a traitor and I hope and pray the Hall of Fame doesn't induct him as a Red Sox.

The playoffs are a different game than the regular season. You need everything to come together at the same time, and the Red Sox (my favorite team) are NOT ready a week from the playoffs. There's still time for it to come together, but they would need a solid third starter after Beckett and Schilling (Wakefield and Dice-K can't be counted on as of today), a 8th inning piyther (Okijima was great but he hasn't pitched for days, and Gagne hasn't proven himself), and they lack power without Manny Ramirez, gone for a long time now.
Too many injuries, too many holes, and I haven't even brought up missing offense and defense Youkilis provided. No, they'd need to set all these positions to take the title this season. That could happen, of course, but time is running out.
That didn't stop me from believing enough to buy tickets for a playoff game, though. I'm not convinced the other teams going to the playoffs have it all either.

Dice K just isnt used to pitching on 5 days rest. In japan the rest for picthers is only about 2-3 days. Mostlikely next year he will be one of the dominate pitchers in the majors, he has the potential but just needs to adjust to american style.
Oh and roger clemens is terrible. Endo story, hes too old to be in the majors, he never pitches more then 5 innings. Hes crap.

It depends.....on which Red Sox team shows up. If it is the team the 1st half of the season they will be hard to beat. But, if it the team from ther 2nd half they don't have a chance.
Go Yanks!

Chances are not good as long as they have to go through the Yankees, who are, right now, definatly playing the best ball in the AL
