He didn't do anything. The home plate umpire told him he was warned by the first base umpire that he threw his bat at him after he struck out. Bradley denied this. When he got to first the next at bat, he asked the first base umpire why he'd said that when it wasn't true, and he got tossed. Totally unjustified by the first base umpire. Adding insult the injury, he was actually injured being held back by a coach. He's done things in the past (fighting with fans, excessive arguing, throwing balls and bats on the field,) but this was ridiculous. The umpires need to be reprimanded. Plain and simple.
EDIT: kahlgren - the umpire is reported to have made a comment that could be taken as a racial slur, so OF COURSE race has something to do with it.

Blame can be placed in several directions, but first and foremost Milton Bradley. I think he is Bipolar, because he got so heated over mere words that if not for the coach he might have come to blows with the Umpire.
The Umpire knowing full well that Bradley was already slightly adjatated didn't help matters any by saying whatever he said. If the Umpire was out of line then the Coach should have brought it to the Home plate Umpires attention. When Bradley blew up it appeared that he was having another tantrum. The Umpires, Coaches, and Bradley all could have handled the situation alot better. End of the day the wrap on Bradley is simple, and true.
"Milton Bradley a good Ball Player, but posses a rather Questionable Mental State".

He's got every right to be mad. You got an umpire asking him about an incident from earlier in the game that should have been handled when it happened. Bradley's past should not even be an issue. He is a major league baseball player, and should be treated by the umpires the same as any other player. Anyone that believes an umpire has a right to call any player a piece of shi*t has no concept of how the umpires should behave. Winters should never be allowed on a major league field again.
