I actually think he benefitted from that collective brain-freeze that assisted the Atlanta pitchers (oddly, nearly exclusively) of calling balls 1-2 feet outside a strike, if the catcher's glove didn't move. (Even announcers would make excuses, and say "he hit the target"). Imagine if even a Ron Guidry or a Jerry Kooseman got those calls for 10 seasons, and played with a team with a bullpen & hitting for that long?

It's bottom of the 9th inning with 0 out and the game is tied 1-1. The starter has just allowed a walk, and the manager pulls him. The reliever comes in, and gets the first out by way of a fielder's choice. Now, if the next batter hits a game-winning RBI double, which pitcher gets charged with the loss? Is it the starter because he walked the first batter, or does the starter get off the hook once the reliever get the fielder's choice out?

Why villianize the man? Let's face it, nobody else in baseball wants to be honest. MLB has become a sport of rampant cheating and lying. I know its hard to face, but the majority of power hitters have juiced, and some still are. There is no test for HGH, and until there is, we will continue to see these huge men clubbing homeruns. I mean, isnt it obvious folks? Opposite field home runs off the end of the bat? C'mon, I dont know why you would want to defend these cheaters, they are dishonest to us, cheating the game and everything that it stands for. They should all be locked up, but yet, they make millions upon millions of dollars, because for some reason fans started to believe that baseball is only about the individual and the long ball. The game is ruined, and it will never be the same. The longer you all deny what is going on, the harder it will be to face later on. So, dont make canseco out to be the bad guy, he has no reason to lie on anybody.

I know most will say batting practice but I think they are already doing that.

Fausto gave up 1 run and lost yesterday, and CC has lost 2 or 3 one run games because they won't get him runs.

do they send someone down? if so who?

anyother ideas?

Baseball is internationalizing more and more. Although most of the players come from a few feeder countries, Baseball is growing slowly worldwide. With MLB investment in China and MLB Europe we will sure to see more foreign players from other countries. Who would like this or being the "American pastime" we should have home grown talent playing in the majors?

Im just wondering, when I think of the top three record in baseball that will never be broken, these three come to mind
1.Ricky Henderson-Career stolen bases
2.Joe Dimaggio-Hit Streak
3.Pete Rose-Total Hits

The only one of those three that I can see being broken is the Hit Streak, any comments?

His reaction was so disrespectful, it was nothing a Commissioner should have done. Then he makes that "Lame" statement afterwards about people are innocent until proven guilty. What does that have to do with the record. He spoke with Tom Glavine after he reached 300 wins last night, but has yet to talk to Bonds!

Not so much a question here....I just wanted to say thank you to all the Cubs fans. You guys in Chicago are so full of class and great baseball fans for applauding Tom Glavine as he left the field in search of win #300 last night.

The Cubs fans are clearly the class of the league, you guys are great.

I will record the answers, so don't edit your answer.
Please don't respond with, Who cares? He's a cheater.", etc. I agree he's a cheater, this is just about when the record will fall.
