Not so much a question here....I just wanted to say thank you to all the Cubs fans. You guys in Chicago are so full of class and great baseball fans for applauding Tom Glavine as he left the field in search of win #300 last night.
The Cubs fans are clearly the class of the league, you guys are great.

why thanks um..........J far? as much as i didn't want you guys to win 2 out of 3 you did, so good for you!!! Ton Glavine is an amazing pitcher and pitched fairly well, so we cub fans have to give credit where credit is due. And as for clapping for tom glavine, i don't think anyone booed him. it was great! just clapping and a standing ovation.
Yep, we cub fans have some class. even when barry hit the 2 hrs most of the fans clapped for him (even though he was totally juiced up in my opinion but still good).
you're welcome and congrats glavine on getting his 300 here in Wrigley.
your local cubs fan,
Catherine

Cubs fans respect class when we see class. Glavine earned it and was very classy about it last night. Cubs fans very much appreciate how humble he was in acknowledging his team, his family and the history of Wrigley.
Why do people have to bring Bonds into the discussion? Bonds is nowhere even in the same class or caliber as Glavine. Quit taking away from Glavine by mentioning that drugged up thug.

I thought it was funny the first time Joe Morgan thought the Cubs fans were giving Glavine a standing ovation when they were actually cheering for K Wood coming into the game. But yes, that kind of class makes me proud to be a Cubs fan.
...edit - gotta agree with Kevin B on this one as well. The one Sox game I have been to in Chicago was against Detroit, and Sox fans booed Magglio everytime he stepped up to the plate or made a play in the outfield.

Cubs fans are great but Glavine is such a class act I would have to believe every true fan at every stadium would have done the same. Glavine is going to be the last pitcher to reach the 300 win milestone for many years to come.

Well hey you and Tom deserved it...Im disappointed in our bullpen giving up so many runs, cuz the cubs had a chance and Im saying its gonna go down in the books for Glavine geting his 300 against the cubs..Then I see him in the dugout and just look at the guy and say you kno what this guy really deserves it..I wasnt there but I would of been standing for Glavine as he walked off for the last time.Thankyou for noticing us cub fans!good luck to your mets the rest of the season.I really believe the cubs can pull it of without soriano in winning, becuz we have alot of good talent and with wood back good things should happen.

I even have asked myself that question in the previous. the nice and snug button is tutor me one actual baseball fan who has no longer had their heart broken via the activity. Your gonna look long and annoying and are available up empty reason there is not any such element. i'm a Sox fan too, and function been my entire existence. Baseball followers are the main pathetic creatures to ever stroll the earth. have you ever pronounced on your buddy, all we could do is win the subsequent ten and function them lose 8 and have been in. I even have pronounced it in the previous, certainly I even have greater admire for cubs followers then people who like the two communities, or the followers who like which ever team is triumphing that 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. %. a team and cheer interior the solid circumstances and curse the undesirable. Dont difficulty April is in basic terms around the corner, next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days is practically here. Sorry yet in remaining i could ask for forgiveness to the cub followers, reason this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days is the Sox 3 hundred and sixty 5 days.

Classy move. As a Braves fan, I have been rooting for Glavine all year to get #300 behind him. Way to go, Tommy! Probably the last 300 game winner of his generation, maybe the last ever. Now it is back to rooting for the Braves to take the East. Tomahawk chop!

White Sox fans are the ********, full of it fans ever, I have heard them boo alot of people at home. I don't know how much of a hypocrite they have to be to call out Cleveland for booing Thome. The way he left is why they boo, him they didn't like him when he was with Philly either.
Cubs fans are great that is what I like about them is their class and loyalty.
