ivan rodriguez, derek jeter, luis gonzalez, moises alou, frank thomas, thes guys have a great knowledge of the game. have played for some pretty good managers. played in a lot of baseball games. they are great teammates and liven up a clubhouse. i just think with all of these reasons they can translate these tools into a managerial career.
ivan rodriguez-joe torre and bobby cox were catchers.
derek jeter-he just knows the game, best player in the game today
luis gonzalez been on a lot of teams, played for a lot of good managers and has a lot of respect from teammates
moises alou-great pedigree learned the game from his dad felipe, uncles were great players too
frank thomas-great hitter not just a good hr hitter. imposing figure and likeable player who could get a lot out of players.

It is difficult to say because you don't know what players have the proclivity to manage. But I will tell you what, from everything I hear Craig Biggio would make a great manager and I believe this is something he sees in his future.

Since a lot of catchers seem to find their way into managerial positions I think all three Molina brothers,Paul LoDuca, Jason Varitek and Jorge Posada
