Whether Bonds quits or not isn't the issue. The guy should have had his sorry *** thrown out of baseball long ago.
And as far as his breaking Hank Aarons record, it shouldn't even be recognized. By recognizing Bonds "achievement", Bud Selig is making a mockery of Hank Aaron. Aaron broke Ruth's record with sweat, hard work and HONOR.
Bond's is trying to break Aarons record with nothing but a vial and syringe.

Neither,

He is going to play next year.
Why you ask.

The answer is very simple. MONEY

Bonds will make upwards of $8 Million to just show up and try to hit a home run while playing only every other game.

It is the same reason the Mike Vick doesn't just take a year off from football to deal with his court case. MONEY
If Vick leaves on his own, he gives up the $10 Million he would have made this year.
If the NFL suspends him while he is in his court proceedings he keeps getting paid. Only if found guilty will the league and the Atalants Falcons be able to cancle his contract.

I think he should quit as soon as he breaks the home run record. He is washed up. He is hurt (just ask him, he'll tell you) and the Giants do not need him any more. As a matter of fact they are carrying him. Bonds used to be a five tool player. He could hit, hit with power, run, throw and field. He can only hit with power, and he does not do that much anymore. Oh by the way, I think he will quit as soon as he breaks the record.

I think Bonds will play another year, if he can find a team willing to take him, so that he can reach yet another milestone at 3,000 hits. If he does play next year, and stays healthy, he should finish with about 790 homeruns.

the onlyl thing that makes me think he may stay and play another year is his ego. we all know he is completely about himself and no one else. i think the possibility of knowing that someone like a-rod may break the record in not to long may drive barry to try to hike up the total as much as possible to try to preserve his image, at least to himself

He had better. He is hurting the team with his .118 batting average since he got off the juice.
