why?

In the early 90's MLB teams shifted from a 4 man starting rotation to a 5 man rotation and the pitchers started 5-7 less games each season. Since then win totals on the average has gone down. Tom Glavine was the latest to win 300 and the next in line is Randy Johnson(Age 43) 284 wins. After him is Mike Mussina (Age 38) with 247 wins. Will either of these two players win 300 games? After these two who do you think has a shot at 300 wins? Is the 300 mark going to fade as a realistic career win mark? I myself think Pedro Martinez and Andy Pettite are LONG SHOTS for 300 if they stay healthy but after that I personally do not see anybody else winning 300 games in the next 10 years.

Team names are supposed to be somewhat intimidating. We all know that. So why do some teams have names like White Sox, Red Sox, Angels, Blue Jays, Orioles, and Cubs? What made people think that a colored sock or a bird or a heavenly being was intimidating?

And FYI, I am a White Sox fan. This has just been confusing me for years.

NBA did launched the Women's NBA or WNBA in 1997 as this league is successful. I think that MLB should have a best chance to launch the women softball league; the league would name MLS (Major League Softball) ro WMLS (Women Major League Softball). MLB don't need the expansion of teams because they has enough teams at 30 as don't want mistake for expansion again to 32 teams in future.

Most women know how to playing the softball now as in camps, teams as high school and college, and etc as international teams. Since girls are playing in Little League for first time in 1974. Now the Little League has two organizations as baseball and softball.

Look, I dislike the Yankees, but due to the general behavior of Boston fans since 2004, I think I hate the Red Sox even more. I mean, Yankee fans are cocky, but at least they have a reason to be (26 championships in 84 years is pretty impressive).

The Red Sox have won one world series in 89 years, but their fans talk how they are the best team every year.

And shouldnt they get used to it? The whiney sux are now the new bottom feeders in the AL, and will continue to be for a very long time. This proves that 2005 was, indeed, a fluke!

ERA with the Red Sox >15.00; several blown saves. No actual saves. One win vultured. Wasn't Friday evening the final straw?

hadn't been beaned and nearly killed by Jack Hamilton? Afterall, it's very likely he would've been around for the '75 Series against the Reds and might've made the difference in that series given the fact that it was extremely close, anyway...Whadda ya think?
