Oh yes lets just get rid of the guy who had 83 consecutive saves. You are being way to impatient. Can you imagine the pressure he is feeling right now? Boston is a lot different than LA or TEX. Give him time, he will turn it around and eventually help the Sox.

Of course not, all of this is just helping the yankees out.. Joking, but in a serious manner, I think he deserves a little more time. Now is a bad time for him to play horribly with October right around the corner, and the yankees breathing down the Red Sox knecks.

Now i wasnt the biggest gagne fan prior trade deadline, and still i am not.. Im not a sox fan or anything, but i think maybe a few minor league games can put him into shape, or a few more MLB games where the Red Sox are dominating in. Gagne's performance certainly has to change quickly or something may be done..

Gagne reminds me of Brad Lidge from Houston.. Lidge is renowned for blowing saves and gagne will get there playing in a large market city if something doesnt change.. Im just glad Gagne hasnt blamed his performance on an injury like we've seen so many other players..

Frankly, I don't understand the decision to pick up a guy that has been chronically injured the last few years and placing him in a middle relief situation when the Red Sox didn't really need help here. I am a Red Sox fan, but I do not agree with this trade even - we brought in a guy that isn't going to close, makes Okajima concerned about his spot (despite being gem all year), and has already blown several games. However, if he can pull some big shut downs in the payoffs I'll gladly admit I was wrong....

when i heard this trade go down i was seriously dissapointed that they traded kason gabbard. I hope he shapes up and settles in but i have a feeling this move is going to bite them in the *** come October. But look as other players who struggled in the recent past... orlando cabrerra was a month in before he started hitting and became a huge part of the red sox line up.

I dont think they will.

I also think he is an insurance if Pap blows up again as we are getting to the stage of the season again that they shut Pap down last season ,granted they weren't in the situation last season they are now.

keep him if helps the Yankees but i think the pressure of playing for a playoff contending team like the red sox has gotten to him

give him some more time to adjust -
there is a lot of pressure on him right now - once the attention goes away he will settle down
