If he cut down on his KOs his BA and HRs would soar and this guy would be possibly the best hitter in the game. Pitchers know he'll swing at bad pitches so he doesn't get enough good pitches to drive.
What he does do even with all the KOs is play very good defense, steal bases, hit for power, and in general is the heart of the Indian's offense. He is also young and getting better every year. Not quite 25 years old yet and already with 3 very good years under his belt including scoring 134 runs last year with 190 hits, 28 HRs, 53 doubles and 22 SB. His .290 avg was good but would have been much better if he took more walks and cut his KOs in half.
This year he's already got 29 SBs and should have 35-40 by the end of the year. He has a good chance to join the 30 30 club this year and will almost certainly be a 40 40 man in the near future.
lots of reasons to be excited about Sizemore. Though watch out for Hart with the Brewers he has the same kind of potential and may rival or surpass Sizemore.

1. 5 tool player
2. Will be a candidate for the for the 40-40 club.
3. Gives it all he has no matter what the situation
4. In 2006 was the 2nd player ever(first since 1937)to get 25+ homers, 20+ steals, 50+ doubles, and 10 triple in a season.
5. When Eric Wedge was asked the other day if he though Sizemore had hit the ceiling he said " Not even close". So Of Wedge is right how good is he going to be? he's already arguably the best in the league.

Beltran is more established, and he played for a MUCH better team (which explains the runs, because those are dependent on his team driving him in). The RBI differential is explained by the fact that Sizemore is a lead-off hitter, so you can't really use that stat fairly by any means. HRs aren't everything. Beltran is a better HR hitter, but I don't really care about that. Stolen bases also depend on how much the manager is willing to call the steal. Sizemore is faster, and there's no question about it, but the Indians don't call the steal as much as the Mets do. As far as defense, Sizemore is definitely better. He makes absolutely absurd catches. He's the best defensive CF I've seen since Andruw Jones in his prime. If the question is who would I rather have on my team, the answer is Sizemore. He is much more of a team player than Beltran, and he is not as expensive. Beltran gets paid a whole lot of money to put up mediocre numbers. He is not a HOFer by any means. Not yet at least. We'll see his career numbers when he retires. I would take Sizemore in a heartbeat.

WHAT DID HE DO? I am sick of people criticizing Grady Sizemore. He is the greatest young center fieder. He will have probably 10 gold gloves and atleast 1 MVP award by the time he retires. He is atleast 10 times better than Granderson,Willits, and any other young out fielder.
And also since when is 21 home runs, 89 runs, 67 rbi's, and 29 stolen bases not so important.

He is one of the most exciting players in baseball. From diving catches to hitting homeruns, Grady Sizemore is the complete package. He is a 5 tool player and is the anchor of that Indians team.

His name is Grady, what is there not to love?
Grady is definitely a 5-tool player. He can hit for power, contact, run, throw, and plays great defense.
Some think he may become part of the 40-40 club in a couple years (40 home runs and 40 stolen bases -- in a season).

Ozzie Guillen calls him "Superman" because he can do it all, and he never backs down. He's one of the best all-around players in the game and he just turned 25. All the ladies like him too.
Also, he made the cover of Sports Illustrated, which reads, "He's without a doubt one of the best players of our generation." Not quite sure who it was that said that, but it was said and quoted on the cover of SI.

i dunno really. i think some ladies find him attractive because he has a fan club. i guess people find him as the type of player who can bat anywhere in the lineup, he has power and speed, and not to mention a good glove.
