The best number in baseball is not 25. I presume you like it because of Bonds. And like Bonds others to wear 25 recently have had a perception of steroid use.

I'd say the best numbers are:
3 - Babe Ruth
7 - Mickey Mantle
24 - Willie Mays
42 - Jackie Robinson (which is retired league wide)

If you're a catcher:
5 - Johnny Bench

25 seems to be a good number in all sports, meaning you can bet that in every league at least one star wears 25

25 is the steroid number.

Barry Bonds wears 25. Jason Giambi wears 25.

As if that isnt enough, Mark McGwire wore number 25 back when he played.

Spooky eh?

Gotta go with 44. Aaron, McCovey, some would say Reggie, but to me he will always be #9.
