The best number in baseball is not 25. I presume you like it because of Bonds. And like Bonds others to wear 25 recently have had a perception of steroid use.
I'd say the best numbers are:
3 - Babe Ruth
7 - Mickey Mantle
24 - Willie Mays
42 - Jackie Robinson (which is retired league wide)
If you're a catcher:
5 - Johnny Bench

Barry Bonds wears 25. Jason Giambi wears 25.
As if that isnt enough, Mark McGwire wore number 25 back when he played.
