He switched from his natural position SS to play third, one of the harder positions on the daimond. This year he is having a gold glove year and just had his first error in 47 games the longest active streak in the majors for third basemen. even though his last couple of years werent gold glovish they werent horrible either. so whats up are the expectations just so high for him that if he commits an error or doesnt hit a homerun he suddenly sucks.

I really love baseball. If u have paid any attention to it lately u know that berry bonds is about to break the record for most home runs. He is going to beat the great hank aaron witch did all of his home runs clean. I think that bond did steroids at some point. Can anyone answer if he was doing steroids?

That means any combo of yankee LOSSES and/or Boston's Wins equally 56 and the yankees are eliminated from the pennant race.

How accurate do you think it is? Yeah, I know it's a tv show, but I thought I could get a better response from baseball fans.

If a run is STATISTICALLY more likely to score from 1st base with none out versus 2nd base with 1 out, then why do teams continue to sacrifice precious outs? I can see this strategy being used with the pitchers spot in the NL, but the numbers bear out that sacrificing is not the preferred strategy.

on a team if that team were to be retracted, like mlb had been talking about doing to a couple of teams?

would they just hit the free agent market, be forced to sell popcorn at minor league games, or would there be some sort of draft for them, and if so how would the draft order be determined?

The team leader in win's has 6

The best ERA on the team is 4.65

The team leader in strikeouts has 59

And this isn't from the very beginning of the season it's from right now in the season.

Who was the last player to have two triples and two homers in the same game. This guy did it in the AL, although he's now in the National League.

From 1997-2006, only four pitchers had ERAs under 3.25 with 100 or more victories. I'll give the points to the first person to name all four pitchers.

Where does Mark Teixeira fit into the Red Sox plans? According the MLB.com, The Red Sox are frontrunners to get Rangers 1B Mark Teixeira shown here: http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070724&content_id=2105789&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb

I am wondering, where would Teixeira fit in to the Red Sox plan.

They are not moving Kevin Youkillis, Mike Lowell is doing very good, and Youk doesn't like it at 3rd. Teixeira is can only play 1B, 3B, and OF. And the sox are not moving any outfielders, and if not lowell and youk, where is Teixeira going to fit in.

The sox will trade prospects from the minors, maybe Kason Gabbard, but will the sox move Lowell? Move Manny? Move Crisp? Move Drew?

What are they going to do.

Someone tell me, where you think Teixeira fits in.

Serious answers only please.

this is what i feel about all the steroid hoopla . 2 words , willie mays ! i think that a ball player with a father like Bobby " u.s. " Bonds and a GODFATHER like Willie Mays was brought up in such a way that the mere thought of doing steroids would never enter his mind or that if it did that the teachings of these two men , let alone the baseball community in which he was exposed to as a child , would never allow him to seriously consider doing so . i can relay a bunch of logical jargon that can make a person think differently , if only for a moment , but to impugne Barry's character in such a way is to impugne the character of some of the best ball players that ever played the game .
