I would wait until she is sixteen. Let her bones form up first. The same rule would apply to teaching a boy to throw a curve ball with a hardball. You don't have to believe my answer. Check with her pediatrician or family doctor.

get her a pitching coach .. if she already plays softball her coach should be able to recommend someone .. if not try asking the local high school softball coach .. the whole bones thing won't be a problem because the first two pitches she'll learn to throw are a fastball and a changeup .. they won't affect her arm the way a curve or a drop would .. or buy an instructional dvd .. its best if you learn how to so you can teach her .. it'll be easier to learn coming from her dad
