supposedly a good percentage of the yankees prefer arod to jeter because jeter has a so called posse of his own on the yanks that is very hard to get into. There was supposedly a fight in the clubhouse last year that was broken up between the two of them and most people sided with arod saying jeter was out of line. Now this story may not be true, but I heard it from the same person that told me he "knows for a fact that Piazza is gay" about a year before that broke out.

Jeter by a longshot. 1) A-Rod sucks when the playoffs come around. 2) Jeter is the face of the present day yankees. 3) They moved A-Rod to 3rd Base when he came to the yankees because the team captain is the best at what he does.

Jeter no contest, he has been on the yankees his whole career, he is older and can handle the pressure unlike Arod who cracked last year

Alex Rodriguez is a great player who is about to hit the milestone of 500 career home runs. He also leads the MLB in home runs and RBI (34 HR 100 RBI), but I would have to go with Derek Jeter. He's not much of a home run hitting guy, but he is the captain of the New York Yankees. You got to admit, that's pretty awesome. Also, when Alex Rodriguez was coming to the Yankees as a shortstop, they had to move him to third base because Derek Jeter is too awesome.

Jeter, cheating on your wife and yelling "ha" on a field does make you a good leader. supporting your team, and always being hte first out of the dugout when someone hits a HR is a leader. jeter is a good role model and good guy for the younger kids to look up to too. it is easily jeter. rodriguez may be outstanding on the field, but off the field, hes not a good role model.
