It seems like all the posts are rooting for the Tigers! Does that mean that they are the sweetheart team?

Um... if not, show me someone else that was a self acknowledged racist AND also lept into the stands to beat a crippled heckler half to death.

I am not going to guarantee this game like I did game 4, but i am strongly confident that they will win this game. Glavine should be able to pitch another good game, and the Mets bullpen has had good rest. LETS GO MET !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Tigers have been in the 'zone'.

Some people could say that the Tigers need the R&R and that the rest will do them good.

Others may say that their momentum and their 'zone' could be compromised with the layoff.

Thoughts?

Please do not respond with any of these teams because I'll ignore you if you do:
Yankees (26 championships)
Cardinals (9 championships)
Athletics (9 championships)
Devil Rays (too new)
Diamondbacks (too new and have a championship anyway)
Marlins (young franchise and already has 2 championships)

Any other team is fair game. I personally think it's the Phillies because they're one of the 100+ year-old franchises, and they only have one championship, and have the most all-time losses of any franchise in professional sports. But there are several other strong contenders. What do you think?

First of all, we're glad you are rooting for our team.

I've noticed a lot of Bosox fans rooting for Detroit now that the your own teams are out of the running. What brings you over to the Detroit Tigers in Post-Season.

P.S. We're glad you're rooting for the good guys!!

I'm from Michigan and going back to my team.

I am having a "discussion" with another fan who says that a batter is apt to have better numbers ( batting average, home runs, rbis) while playing in the Al than if he was playing in the NL. I understand that from a team standpoint the numbers are bound to be better in the AL because of the DH, but, I don't agree an individuals stats are affected by that fact. Any thoughts? Anyone know of any articles or studies on the subject?

Thanks for your time.
