Harold Abrahams was a Jewish British citizen who won a gold medal in track in the 1924 Olympics. His story is told in the movie "Chariots of Fire."
There are historical records of Jews competing in the ancient Olympics in Greece but I don't know how successful they were.
In their own way biblical figures such as David and Samson could be considered athletes.

I don't see the question here, but the answer is because Jewish leaders do not execute thinkers, scientists and democrats like the ones in Arab or Muslim countries. btw, many muslims are rich and successful too. We all going to die so whats the point of being that successful if your ending up in a tiny grave underground?

If you mean baseball, then it was Hank Greenberg.
If you mean in all sports, try visiting the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame site:

King David--a tennis player--He served nine years in the courts of Saul.
He wasn't too bad with the sling, either.
