i was six. i can still remember how happy the fans were. now 22 years later a new generation of tiger fans are getting the chance to see them in the world series. i think it is wonderful to see this tiger team go from being not so good to being among the best teams this season. i give jim leyland a heartfelt thank you for making the team so much better. go tigers. i have watched the tigers go from good to average to them being horrible and being good. i gotta say they worked hard and deserve the respect they don't get.

SO,

Lou has reportedly taken himself out of the running for two other jobs and it looks like he will be the new Cubs manager.

The reason why he said he didn't want to manage the Nationals is because he deemed them to be in a "rebuilding stage."

As a Cubs fan, I am a little biased, but aren't WE (the Cubs) in a rebuilding mode, too?

We had one of the worst records in the entire league this year.

Sheridan odds on www.usatoday.com has st. lousi favored 5:4. Keep in mind that the mets had won 4 straight against washington, 3 straight agains dodgers, and 1 against the cards. 8 game winning streak. being a mets fan, i have no fear whatsoever that they will win this game.
