They are very awesome. No one is going to stop them, I don't care who it is. What is surprising to me is the hitting. I knew they had some power, but now they are making great contact, not striking out, and just blowing people away.
The only thing that may hurt them is that if they have a long layoff between now and the World Series, which might cool off the bats and take the pitchers out of their routine. On one hand, the Cards and Mets could beat each other up, which would make it easy for Detroit. On the other, too much rest wouldn't be best for Detroit. Still, I'm taking Detroit, this from an admiring Yankee fan!!

Awesome,Awesome, Awesome. Oh yea, and they're Great to. Fantastic win. American League champs. Can't wait for the World Series to start. Would'nt it be ironic if it were the Tigers and St.Louis? That was the 1968 World Series match up. And the Tigers won the World Series.

They're pretty good. They're certainly the best team in the American League this year.
That guy Polanco just destroyed the A's. The only weak link appeared to be Todd Jones, and the A's didn't score off him either...
