Yes, anything racist on the air is completely unacceptable. And Lyons had been around long enough to know better.

Yes. Making racist comments, especially on television, is unacceptable. Lyons should have known better, since this was not the first time he's gotten in trouble for saying inappropriate things on the air.

Well...the comments didn't seem THAT racist to me. But even semi-racist comments should be taken off the air. The vision enhancing thing shouldn't have been counted in determining what it was, he didn't know what the thing really was. He did say he apologized to that man, his family, and anyone it may have offended.

Yes, he should have been fired for what he said earlier about the vision support system a fan was wearing.
Good for them for getting rid of him.
