Now, that"s the way I'm used to seeing the Red Birds play ball.
They sure made an example out of the Mut's last night.
Show them they're not that great. Go Cards.

Honestly, from what I read he didn't say anything that bad. And this is coming from someone who doesn't like Steve Lyons.

Both were thought to be bad teams before the season started and they both got out to fast starts and tailed off toward the end. And both the managers are named Jim (Leyland and Fergosi). I guess the 93 team was a little older though, but Pudge reminds me a lot of Darren Daulton.

Tommy Lasorda is having these commercials on television for fans whos teams did not make the postseason. He is encouraging fans who teams did not make the postseason to watch the postseason despite the fact your team did not make the it to the World Series this year.

Congratulations to the Detroit Tigers and their fans. They certainly outplayed, outhustled, outpitched, outhit and outmanaged the Oakland A's. They are certainly the most deserving team to represent the AL in the World Series.

I'm an A's fan...it always stings to lose, but this one doesn't sting as much as losing in 2001 and 2003.
