That is absolutely correct. The Yankees are a great team, as are the Mets, A's, Twins, Cards... I think everyone forgot (after the way the Royals beat us up at the end) that the Tigers owned the best record in all of baseball for much of the season. They ARE just that good and have been through the whole season. Where we may be lacking in Big Name Players, we more than make up for it in Spirit. "Sock it to 'em Tigers!!!" The Tigers team has been getting increasingly better throughout the year. It's nice to see them finally pull together as a team. And no, I don't think that the Yankees were all that bad in the playoffs, the Tigers were just that much better. As for Oakland, well I think a four game sweep says it all!

Tiger's have a great team. That's just it. The Tiger's work as a team where as for the Yankee's it just seemed like they were playing every man for himself. Such as A-Rod it was like "hey look at me, I get paid the most so I am better than everyone else" (my opinion) Tiger's have drive, determination, desire to be the best. Best pitching team, best manager, best hitters, and the best fans. Everyone thought they could not do it because of their record from past seasons. They proved everyone wrong. They are the best and I am praying they take the World Series. GO TIGER'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bad thing about the Tigers winning is it means we have to wait another 20 years before they are any good again, if history is any sort of guide.

After game 1 of that series, the Yankees just plain didn't play well at all. They could hae played ALOT better than they did. Detroit just played better.

There's a very good chance for them to win it all. They're on a roll after sweeping the A's, they'll go to the WS very well rested (Leyland will have choices to who will pitch game 1), and they have home field advantage.
