Melky Cabrera who was excellent in the reagular season (280 with seven home runs and 50 RBIs, hitting in several different spots in the batting order. He also proved to be a solid defensive player in left, tying Detroit's Craig Monroe for the AL lead with 12 outfield assists)get sat down because Hedki Matsui came back...the man was not even ready and Joe Torre who falls inlove with players (hench why i would love to fire him) should have had the best player out their...cabrera has a better arm, younger legs, and more played the entire year...Cabrera was our jose reyes...he is young, loves to laugh, and brings youth to one of the oldest team in the MLB...someone needs to tell joe torre this: "You die with the person that brought you there." And that also goes with Chein Ming Wang (they should hae gaven him the ball on the 4th game for only 3 innings and still have him there the next day

What's your take on Joe Buck. I think he is quite possibly the worst announcer I have ever heard in my entire life. He is so bad, that when I see him announcing, I immediatlt turn the game off. Now, I'm out here in California. I don't have any friends who disagree with me. I think the guy is riding his dad's coat tails. Jack Buck is one of the greatest announcers ever. His son is a moron and needs to learn how to announce with some exciteemnt, even when his preciuous Cardinals are losing.

I grew up in the 70's when players were skilled, fast, skinny, and naturally muscular. Now you got these huge plumped up artificial thanksgiving turkey looking guys swinging for the fences on every other pitch. A person would have to be super naive to believe that these players aren't widely abusing HGH. There are no accurate ways of testing for it. Professional bodybuilding gave up testing for it a long time ago. And baseball can do nothing about it either even when former players come out and say that a large proportion of their former teammates abused HGH. I wish there were two leagues. One natural and one that was all about steroids, HGH, and supplements. The game is going to hell. I am watching a bunch of guys with fat butts ruin the game. And the pitchers are guilty too.

I'm not a baseball expert, so I was just wondering what others think. I personally adore Cano, he's my favorite. I don't want him to go anywhere. Some people say the Yankees will trade him sometime in the future, and others say Cano is going to be one of those guys that from the beginning is made to be a Yankee (like Jeter, for example), and that he's not going anywhere.

What do you think?

What is Purpurra thinking? I recall at least 9 games we lost as a direct result of Garner's bad gameday decisions this year - especially in respect to pitching management. 9 more wins would have gotten us into the playoffs, baby. It seems the people who live in Houston have an irrational sentimental attachment to him. He should have done better this year with the talented players he has - don't wanna hear it's the offense's fault, either. The talent was there to win the 1-0 or 2-1 games - especially with our stellar D.
