I'm not a baseball expert, so I was just wondering what others think. I personally adore Cano, he's my favorite. I don't want him to go anywhere. Some people say the Yankees will trade him sometime in the future, and others say Cano is going to be one of those guys that from the beginning is made to be a Yankee (like Jeter, for example), and that he's not going anywhere.

What do you think?

Giambi and Abreu's settlement expries next season and that they gained't be resigned. Petitte basically had a one 300 and sixty 5 days deal and heavily isn't resigned the two. Melky if he can no longer get his bat mutually may be traded. Mussina will maximum possibly sign up for a one or 2 300 and sixty 5 days deal yet with a pay decrease. He needs 3 hundred wins and he needs them as a Yankee. Pudge become a one 300 and sixty 5 days restoration and could be long previous to boot. With Pudge, Mussina, Pettite, Giambi, Abreau, and Damons settlement all up there will be ninety a million money off their books. which will enable the yankees renegotiate Mussina's settlement and Damon's. and likewise enable to %. up some considerable unfastened brokers. The yankees already pronounced they're going to pass after CC Sabathia. the two Texiera and Morneau are unfastened brokers next 300 and sixty 5 days. and that i'm specific you have heard the Manny ought to be a Yankee. So now you have type of 80 million money to sign those celebrity gamers. assume alot of acquisitions this offseason for the yankees.

Robinson Cano is the Yankees future at second base. He is a terrific hitter and many say that he will one day win a batting title or two or even more!! He hits for average and power and is an excellent fielder. The Yankees are not even thinking about trading him.

Two years ago, Cano was involved in a trade, but rejected by the Diamondbacks. The Yankees couldn't get rid of him, nobody was interested! Now he is "untouchable!" Funny how this game works.

Piazza 7th round draft pick turns into first ballot hall of famer for sure.

Guy who nobody wants even as a throw in on a trade, becomes a "Don't ask, we're not trading him" guy.

The Yankees should keep Cano. He's young and will only get better. I wish they would trade him to the Oakland A's...

Why would they trade Cano?

There is only one situation that they would consider it, and that's if they were to get a prime young pitcher or couple of prime young pitchers for him. I'm not talking about minor leaguers. I'm talking about Dontrelle Willis or Roy Oswalt or something like that.

Frankly, I wouldn't trade either of those two pitchers for Cano. But I would doubt that they would trade Cano.

Consider too, that Cano is one of the very few BARGAINS on that team in terms of payroll. Replacing him means at least an extra $5M+

Not that the Yankees are reluctant to spend - but they'd be better of spending that extra $5M to help their pitching.

Cano is as safe as Jeter. He's staying.

The pitching staff, I'm not so sure. And don't bet on A-Rod staying.

If the Yanks can get a good pitcher they may trade him. The 3 that should really go are:

A-Rod
Johnson(too old too miserable)
Jerit Wright (never will be the same after the injury)
