Their toast has so much burnt crust on it not even a pound of butter would make them better. No surprise as for the Tigers have maintained the best record in ball for a long time this year. It is about time that someone that really deserves to win is winning.

Justin Verlander closed out the Yankees and likely will close out the A's tomorrow.
In 2004, Derek Lowe (a native Michigander) won the clinching games of the ALDS, the ALCS and the World Series. So yes, Verlander will be throwing the only heat in the ballpark to keep the A's from coming back.

well, i think the series is over. i heard on tv that the last 8 teams that lead the al and nl series' 2-0 have all won their series' and go on to the world series. i believe the a's are done.
