Melky Cabrera who was excellent in the reagular season (280 with seven home runs and 50 RBIs, hitting in several different spots in the batting order. He also proved to be a solid defensive player in left, tying Detroit's Craig Monroe for the AL lead with 12 outfield assists)get sat down because Hedki Matsui came back...the man was not even ready and Joe Torre who falls inlove with players (hench why i would love to fire him) should have had the best player out their...cabrera has a better arm, younger legs, and more played the entire year...Cabrera was our jose reyes...he is young, loves to laugh, and brings youth to one of the oldest team in the MLB...someone needs to tell joe torre this: "You die with the person that brought you there." And that also goes with Chein Ming Wang (they should hae gaven him the ball on the 4th game for only 3 innings and still have him there the next day

Exactly! He shouldn't have only come in to pinch hit!
I was a little bothered by that too.
Torre should have played him and Matsui equally.
Melky earned it!
I even predicted that if the Yankees made it to the World Series,
either Melky or Jeter would get WS~MVP.
His overall performance was outstanding!
I love Joe Torre but he fell asleep at the wheel after they
clinched the Division title. What the hell was he thinking?
Obviously not much.

How about those Yanks!!!!!!! Get to watch another World Series from the comfort of their living rooms and not the dugout. For a team to have the highest payroll in baseball not to win the Series each and every year is poor performance. By the way folks if you look at Matsui's stats since he has been with the Yankees, he has been their most consistent player production wise and handles the stick well. Cabrera is a solid young player also, but you have to go with Matsui. Before you know it you Yankee fans are going to want to run Matsui out of town also. Move over A Rod and Torre make room for Matsui!

You are definitely true. Melky Cabrera is my all-time favorite Yankee and MLB player. He did really well his second year as a Yankee. You're right especially on the defense. He made some SPECTACULAR plays this year. He has done lots offensively getting on base, and stealing bases. He also has done lots defensively. Check out this awesome play he made this year.

I agree with you, when Joe Torre took him out for Matsui, I was so mad too. He is young, and should get the experience. He will be an AWESOME player at older ages too, because he IS ONLY 21 years old.

So, I hope that Joe Torre gets his consiousness back, and puts Melky Cabrera back in left field.

GO YANKEES!!!

We can still ask questions about our yankees. This question wasn't directed to Tiger,Or twin fans, Besides who the hell cares about the Tigers. They'll end up being ONE HIT WONDERS,, Like The RED SOX AND THE WHITE SOX!!They'll never repeat the seson again next yr,Enjoy your 5 mins of fame,,I'll bet one million bucks Kenny Rogers is JUICED!!!!!!

They aren't gonna pay Matsui all that money to sit. Cabrera had a great year, and was a bargain, but when the guys making all the money come back, Georgie has to justify their salaries.

PS-I could also care less about the Skankees.

I'm sure by next season all of your questions will be answered. There is going to be a lot of changes to the Yankees roster before opening day next season. We will all just have to wait and see what happens.

No, it's not unfair.

It was exactly the right thing to do.
