Can even the worst driver get into the best ever car and win? Can the best driver make the worst car better?

You what nascar now and their is nothing at all stock on those cars. They are only made to look like the model cars they represent. So what ever happened to plain ol "stock car" racing? Does anybody else think they need to start a racing leage with nothing but stock cars again like in the old days?

What happened to the "Rubbin's racin!" Thought about it?
I mean I understand a few saftey rules but it seams to me that the races are getting to where you spend half your time hearing about the penalties and watching the cars drive around the track under a yellow flag. What happened tot he good ol days where characters like Earnhardt just shoved you outa the way if he wanted by?

Odds that he can make it 2 in a row @ Cali this weekend?! Ganassi dodges were looking "Oh, So Sweet!" all week @ Daytona (not counting Sorenson).. He should have decent enough equipment this weekend, But can he manage to bring that Havoline #42 Dodge to a TOP-20 finish?!

Aside from the yellow Jeff Gordon line to prevent apron passes and
other bogus "safety" stuff, (and NASCAR themselves now refusing to let the cars behind know there's a wreck ahead, and allowing cars to flip, crash and catch on fire because of "excitement" and SMOKE not being able to stay awake long enough to win "his" race...according to the hype and the commercials) AHEM! Where was I? Oh, yes... Why didn't Harvick lead every lap? He certainly could have. He was driving a RESTRICTORLESS plated car, like Junior used to before he said the S word at Talladega!!!! Funny how all that works out!

By NASCAR's own rulings, the race ends on a green-white-checkered finish WHEN THERE IS AN ACCIDENT, not when they decide to throw the yellow lights. Mark and Harvick were not the only two important place finishes... Once a wreck happens, the field is frozen to keep from racing back to the stripe, which the front two did... MARK MARTIN is the winner of that race. Who thinks he should sue NASCAR and their antiGordon capriciously rigged event?

How can you justify wasting fuel, oil etc when all they do is drive in circles...?

Tony Stewart Jeff Gordon....

Please answer this truthfully.. Dont just bash on Gordon in your damn answers. We get enough of that shlt everyday! Just think about what they have accomplished in NASCAR since they've been in the sport.. Granted that Gordon has a few more years under his belt.. But the answer is Clear.. Lets just see if you can see that

I'm not trying to diss it or anything. I can see why it is fun to watch.
Like the Daytona this last week. That was cool. But I don't get how and why NASCAR is a sport. They aren't doing anything sport-like.
sorry not just NASCAR but anytime of car racing I don't get how it's a sport.
Not saying it's not cool just asking why it's a sport

Do you think past champion Bobby LaBonte still has what it takes to win a race again or possibly even be a contender for another championship?

I read in a magazine article about 3 years ago where Darrell Waltrip talked about making his car light during races. He also accused Dale Sr. as doing the same.
