including the coat of building a car you are looking at well into the millions. first you have the cost of the materials. second the cost of the parts like fuel cell, engine, transmission, seat, racing harness. third the cost of labor and any additional materials it costs to put he car together. fourth wind tunnel to see if the car has too much drag or not enough. fifth the cost of fees to test the car on the track. sixth the cost of the driver. seventh the cost of the entry fee. eight the cost of transporting cars, tools, parts, and people to the race. all oth that and more may let you have a slim chance of making the field for the daytona 500. the cost of the team is in the millions to have a teamthat can hav ea shot of winning.

I have no idea, but by the time you build a car that will meet nascar standards, enter the race, pay the crew and do all the other stuff thats required, I would say you are near the million mark. And you must meet all the requirements. You just can't go down there and enter your 1965 Mustang in the race.

You can pick up a Car from one of the teams currently running the cup series for around 40,000-80,000 minus the motor, trans ect... The motors can run approx 10-20k. Tires are about 300.00 a tire. It would cost approx 350.00 in sunoco gas. If you think about it its not really that much. The main sponsor on any given hood has a value of approx 20 million. most money is spent in reserch and development.
