Johnson is an awesome driver! people don't like him because he proved from the start of his nascar career that he can DRIVE and WIN consistently...unlike some of the other drivers. and i believe Johnson WILL once AGAIN be up for the championship.

People hate Jimmie for the same reasons they hate Gordon, they can't beat them very often (big picture, not individual races). There's a perception out there, amongst the haters, that they cheat and have unfair advantages because of superior equipment. Get a life you jealous people, every team owner wishes they could field the kind of consistent teams that Rick Hendrick does year after year. People bash them because they cannot talk up their favorite driver the way a Jimmie Johnson or Jeff Gordon fan can. We can back up our arguments with undeniable facts based on winning results. When you can't beat someone all you can do is bash them. Let me tell you one thing, Jimmie Johnson is my favorite driver, one of the top 3 or 4 in the sport today (talent wise) and he will be bashed his whole career because of jealousy. It will probably take him going to somewhere like Petty Enterprises to win a championship to get the respect he deserves (though that will never happen).

He's a great driver in NASCAR, I used to hate him, but forget that, he's a pretty good guy, and I will probably be a fan of him at some point, I actually felt sorry for him wrecking out of the Daytona 500, that race was bad because too many big names got knocked out.
As for my favorite drivers? I like Joe Gibbs Racing, and I'm starting to like Hendrick a bit now. Jeer me all you want, but the reasons that so many people hate them are not very good once you take a close look at them. Especially when people say he cheats, everybody cheats, it's just that it's him who gets caught the most.

I think you've went with a proven winner! He's part of the Hendrick Brigade and will be one of the best drivers in NASCAR before all is said and done. Johnson has atleast 3 more championships in him!

I think you've picked a great driver. He's got great skills, he's "the nicest guy in NASCAR," and now a champion. The 48 team as a whole is awsome!

He is a good driver but even though people are picking him to repeat it is going to be tough. Past history says he won't repeat. But when his carrer is over, I think Johnson can win two or three more championships.
