F1 to me is no longer a sport but a money making machine for Mr E and co and bernie will make even more mega bucks if lewis wins but how much will he make?

and why? I think F1 because it takes more talent to drive around a circuit rather than driving around in a oval. Buts thats just my opinion. :)

In the Japanese Grand Prix Takuma Sato drove off with his car ablaze, seemingly indifferent. Is that perfectly normal in F1 (given the safety standards..?) or was he just taking a big risk?

I know that people were saying that it was because of that contact with Vettel played a part in it, but I have a feeling that there was something else that caused him to hit the wall very hard!

With this weekends latest FIA blunder, Ferrari seem very upset and beleive their race was ruined.

Yes, the FIA shouldn't rely on emails.
Yes, they should've noticed that they hadn't had their confirmation from the Scuderia.

But, there's no way on Earth that Ferrari could've kept up with the pace car if they'd stayed on intermediate tyres. They would've had to pit and change the tyres anyway - so did it really make that much difference.

if the drivers were allowed to overtake each other during the safety car period. I know sounds stupid but it would be really amusing for us fans to watch. As soon as one driver got overtook, he would immediatley overtake to get his place back, all the drivers would be constantly fighting for position at a reduced pace. I'd pay to see that.

Everyone has heard the rumor that Alonso may be on his way back to Renault. However, Renault is the 4th or 5th best team this year. Next year i think BMW Sauber will be a title contender along with Ferrari and Mclaren, is Renault's Alonso's best choice?

what happened to alonso? what happened to vettel and webber? were you pulling out your hair like i was when they cut away from kimi and heikie's battle to watch lewis run all alone doing nothing? how the hell did massa and kubica get to such a tight battle at the end and we never saw it till it was all but over ?

us americans might not turn out the best drivers in the world but we sure as hell are seconed to none when it comes to televised sporting events, its time the fia stopped letting the local t.v. stations broadcast the events and hire one major company to travel with the series to send out the global broadcast feeds,

do you agree?

Alot of the drivers were complaining that the conditions were not suitable for them to race and they wanted to stop it. Well, unfortunately that didn't happen and everyone knows what happened next. Do you feel that they should've stopped the race due to safety concerns with the drivers?

It's very obvious that Fernando was very damaged by that decision, he was definitely trapped in that position(between "4" cars). I actually wonder how is that possible, why didn't Hamilton have to go "first"??? He had a bigger advantage, he was able to make a bigger gap and with that fact why did they decide to sent Fernando to go first through pit stop??? Is this another sabotage by Ron Davis and McLaren's team??

2007-09-30 01:48:36 · 8 answers · asked by Ivan 2

I personally think Hamilton is a phony and that his nice guy image is BS. Some of things he has allegedly said about Alonso, the team should be backing him instead of Alonso, calling backmarkers monkeys, getting into a spat with Ron Dennis are downright disrespectful.

I also think the British tabloids are building him up so they can knock him down.

Still, Hamilton seems very marketable. With a world title in the first year and goodness knows how many more to come, will his earning power make him the richest athlete in the world?

I think he will earn more than Beckham this year. Tiger Woods earns $100 million, but can Lewis overtake him? If Lewis moves to a tax haven, he will pay very little, if any, tax.

I cannot understand the decision in F1...to find that Alonso is partly responcible for playing about with ilegal info...To use it to try and improve his position...this year and the future...to try and blackmail Ron Dennis and cheat......To cost the team their Constructers Championship and £50Million........but...nil penatlty goes to him at all.You and I can see the lowering of moral caused by him and DelaRosa etc...I do not understand why he and Ferarri etc all get away with it while his team and maybe other teams will all pay in lost results?

Hi Folks.
If you are a fan of F1, you must have noticed that they all have side-burns to below the ear.
This is not a trend that I see in everday life.
I love the skills and technical side of F1, but am bemused and amused in interviews of the drivers with long fuzzy bits on the side of the face.
What do you suppose is going on? A "Who has the longest side-burns competition as an aside" ?

Cheers,
Bob
