it was due to food poisoning. imagine that the first safety car out and you vomit in your helmet and it stays there. the smell and etc. how did he continue ??? and he was still driving for like 2 hours with the same helmet !!! did he have anything to comment on that ?

It's not that difficult to clean vomit. they probably just sprayed it with something to get rid of the odor, besides, on the track, there are other odors such as fuel and tyres that are stronger than your own puke.

All i know is that if it were a ferrari or mclaren driver that puked and had food poisoning, there would have been conspiracy theories all over the place.

Just glad it wasnt david coulthard because he was planning on giving that helmet to Colin McRaes family as a mark of respect. Now that would have been unfortunate...

yeah I did know. that just shows the dedication of an F1 driver. To have to drive round with a helmet full of vomit then get taken off by Vettel, no wonder he swore when Louise spoke to him for ITV!!!!!!!!

He had one heck of a drive considering he was sick. I've always wondered what a driver must go though if he gets a migraine during a race or something. Must be terrible.

I read about it, but here in the states, they didn't mention anything about that! I give major props to him for continuing on with the race!

Yeah it shows that he puts a lot of effort into his racing. He was really going for it this time its just a shame that vettel had to screw it up :(

he should switch helmets with one of the Ferrari drivers .....before the next race.

i heard that too, he said in an interview that he was behind the pace car and realized that he did infact drive for red bull
