Hi Folks.
If you are a fan of F1, you must have noticed that they all have side-burns to below the ear.
This is not a trend that I see in everday life.
I love the skills and technical side of F1, but am bemused and amused in interviews of the drivers with long fuzzy bits on the side of the face.
What do you suppose is going on? A "Who has the longest side-burns competition as an aside" ?

It's so the drivers can say, "I misunderstood your instructions" or "I couldn't hear the radio" when they are ignoring the boss during the race LOL

Alonso started the trend and then when McLaren told Alonso to get rid of them all the other drivers copied his long sideburns.

i think they are channeling the spirit and speed of Fittipaldi, Hunt, Stewart et al. But Jenson's beard makes him look like a complete hobo!

It's either the over-long side burns or the scruffy beard look that Nick Heidfeld and Jenson Button have going on!!! I think Lewis' are the longest though!

It saves having to strap their helmets under the chin - they use Velcro hooks on the insides of the helmet and the sideburns save having to stick the loop part of the Velcro to the sides of their heads.

Lol...maybe...at least all 22 drivers can compete in that besides the usual 4.

Alonso started it, then mclaren made him shave it off. Other drivers who have grown their sideburns are showing their support for him.

it was alonso until mclaren told him to shave it off but now its jenson with his beard !!!!!
