I've never liked his tricks but this is an all time low even by his standards.
A genuine person would make an unpublicised visit.

"McLaren face scrutiny over Alonso:
Formula One's governing body has stepped in to ensure McLaren give equal treatment to Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton at the Brazilian Grand Prix" (BBC website)

What is this sport coming to? I just can't see the usefulness of this type of interfereing. If there is any evidence AFTER the race that favouritism has been shown, then by all means investigate it. But to presume foul play before the fact? How is that helpful?

What does everyone else think?

It baffles me to read that Lewis Hamilton will be the first black F1 world Champion despite the fact that he is of mixed race.

His mum is white and his dad is black, so why is it always said that he is black? is it because being black gives you special treatment these days?

As far as i can see the only role model related to Lewis Hamilton is his father - he is a role model for black fathers to stick with their children.

Lewis will be the first mixed race F1 champion if he wins in Brazil.

Remember Monaco when he was compelled to follow Alonso. Then later on the delay at the Pits Alonso again. Now when he is showing canvas on his tyres and losing 10 secs a Lap Alonso comes in the Pits first. When will these dirty dealings unfold maybe when Mercedes buy Mclaren .No doubt Ron Dennis has been pushed in a corner regarding Lewis a true racer who throws a F1 car around like a GO Cart.Come on Ron you have a GENIUS HERE give him the chance he deserves. As for Bernie we would like a full explanation of the events.

After taking only 1 pit stop, he managed to go all the way to the chequered flag. How is this possible? Why didn't he run out of gas? Is it possible on other tracks?

This is pathetic here everyone saying how it was mclarens fault that Hamilton went out. He was the one driving the car. If he thought the tyres were bad enough he should have made the call to come in.

Was it Mclarens fault that Hamilton couldnt take care of his tyres like the other drivers? No. Was it McLarens fault that he came into the pits too fast? No.

These were his decisions and only his so please people stop talking nonsense. If you want to see how a genuinely intelligent driver makes the right calls on tyres at the right times look at the video on youtube of schumachers first win.

Upon coming to Mclaren, Alson improved the mclaren car to meet his needs, then, Hamilton took many lessons from the two time world Champion, then... Hamilton and Mclaren stabbed Alonso in the back...and the latest scandal.... FIA does not penalise Hamilton for what 21 other drives say was a bad move by Hamilton when he all of a sudden slowed down almost to a complete stop causing Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel accident in last weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix.

Is there too many politics in Formula 1? Is it because Hamilton is English and some people want an English Champion?

Never the case, I feel sorry for Alonso. He is without a doubt the most superior driver in formula 1 today... and got back stabbed by Hamilton and his team. Very sad and tragic.

"It is painfully obvious to me that the right guy to be world champion is Lewis," said Ecclestone.

In fact, my main fear would be if he didn't win it.
Kimi Raikkonen barely talks to anyone and as such has done little for the sport, and as for Fernando Alonso, in his two years as world champion he has done nothing."

so bernie has more or less said that Lewis should win this year championship no matter what,
a case of what bernie wants bernie gets.

Do you think these comments will taint this year championship ?

So Lewis Hamilton has threatened to leave F1 if he is penalised for his supposedly erratic driving behind the safety car during the Chinese Grand Prix. Actions of a spoilt brat or a grown man??

2007-10-05 01:19:37 · 26 answers · asked by Sal*UK 7

Seriously is it becoming farcical or what ?
After all the events that have gone on over the past few months regarding F1 do you think its become a laughfable series?

You all know what things I'm refering to,I'm not going to mention them as I don't want all those imature"your biased" replies, but do you think the phrase "silly season"is verging on the extreme.
Do you also think the rich people in F1 are getting richer by all this negative press regarding the sport i.e. Do you think Lewis under scrutiny during his safety car laps and the threat of points deduction (4 days later!!) will make big headlines and therefore increase TV viewers and then maybe Bernie,FIA and Co want more money next year.
I don't pretend to know anything about the politics in F1 though I do think there's too much of it.

Sorry I used the Lewis word, I'm not loyal to any one team or driver I'm just an F1 fan honestly!!!!!! :)
