Upon coming to Mclaren, Alson improved the mclaren car to meet his needs, then, Hamilton took many lessons from the two time world Champion, then... Hamilton and Mclaren stabbed Alonso in the back...and the latest scandal.... FIA does not penalise Hamilton for what 21 other drives say was a bad move by Hamilton when he all of a sudden slowed down almost to a complete stop causing Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel accident in last weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix.

Is there too many politics in Formula 1? Is it because Hamilton is English and some people want an English Champion?

Never the case, I feel sorry for Alonso. He is without a doubt the most superior driver in formula 1 today... and got back stabbed by Hamilton and his team. Very sad and tragic.

unfortunately he has brought a lot of his problems upon himself. Had he tried harder to settle into the team by accepting the equality part of his contract then I'm sure things would have finished up differently. If he stays there next year I hope a lot of the underlying issues would have been settled and everyone can just concentrate on the racing.

I used to be a McLaren fan till Alonso joined. Because of him moving to Mclaren Schumacher was in a way forced to retire to make way for Kimi at Ferrari. This year would be very interesting to see how Lewis and Kimi would've faired against Schumi in the Ferrari. But that is fantasy land.

Formula 1 is a team sport. Alonso took it upon himself to report his team to the FIA. Wether Mclaren was right or wrong a team member should never act on there own as he is part of a team and the decision should be a team decision. Alonso didnt even show up to the hearing where Hamilton was there at the hearing.

As far as Alonso being superior driver I think there are millions of people that would agree with you but there are proably 100's of millions of people that will dis gree with you.
Him taking credit for developing the MP4-22 is pure selfishness and arrogance. There are the engineers that gave the team good starting point and the everyone else that had a little hand is making the car better. But no one can take credit for all of that. Like anyone that has watched Formula 1 they can see that races are won and lose during pitstops. Well Alonso could take credit for these also even when he stayed in the pit box holding up Hamilton at the Hungarian GP during qualifying.

I'd say dramatic, instead of tragic. Alonso left renault for McLaren without Flavio's blessing and thus, the drama unfolds.

At McLaren, he hopes to defend his title with a better car and a rookie team-mate? No problem. Easy.... Then Hamilton proves to be a force to be reckoned with. friendly rivalry becomes so so heated that it turns to HATE. Alonso gets tangled in the spy saga while Hamilton looks completely innocent. Then they say that Alonso blackmails Ron Dennis. Barbs are exchanged between Hamilton and Alonso. Each talking about who the team favours.

Ron says he's no longer on speaking terms with Alonso. Alonso talks about taking a break from the sport but changes his mind later but hinting that he'll leave McLAren and return to beloved Renault (with no 1 status) and Flavio.

Championship is down to the wire. Tough fight between Alonso and Hamilton. Stewards seem to favour Hamilton and don't punish him for his crimes. Alonso is unhappy and says that the championship is being decided off track.

Is Alonso reaping what he sowed? Or is he just an innocent victim of circumstances? A desperate person can do anything, you know. You decide. But I say it's been a drama

FIA are French, so i don't know why they would support Lewis over everyone else, that's like saying we've only got a new Spanish track Valencia because of Alonso.

Alonso stabbed McLaren in the back by blackmailing them, Mclaren haven't done anything wrong to Alonso.

It's not sad and tragic at all, it's F1.

It's not tragic at all. He brought it on himself. He just happened to arrive at McLaren and find a rookie with a lot of talent and very much his equal. Alonso didn't like that and tried to do everything possible force Hamilton to back down and be a clear number 2 driver. He could have just stepped up his game and beat Lewis on the track. But when that didn't work he resorted to trickery like in Hungary and when that didn't work he decided to threaten his boss with blackmail if he didn't get preferential treatment.

I used to like Alonso as a driver but I've totally lost all respect for him now.

Yes, this year it has been ridiculously biased, as an englishman I have been disgusted in the media coverage this year.

Further, the moment it was suggested and humoured that throwing the mclaren team out of the championship was a bad idea because it would prevent this (money-making opportunity) rookie taking the title in his first year - F1 lost all integrity.

I'll still watch f1, but it has left me feeling very bad about this sport.

No it is not tragic
i doubt no one has stabbed Alonso in the back
Hamilton was already an accomplished driver before he came to F1.
FIA need former f1 drivers to assist them in decisions.
Yes there is to many politics in F1
No he is not the most superior driver on the grid
I am English & I would like to see Raikkonen win the championship

Dude, you and Alonso, stop being cry babies.

Alonso has been totally out classed in both driving and being a team mate.

Although, they may not be good friends Hamilton has always shown support. It may not be genuine, but when Alonso wins Hamilton has a happy face and is there greating his so-called team mate. Check the footage, when Hamilton wins and Alonso is on the podium, he, Alonso has the expression of a hooker who just lost the full nights pay.

Good bye Alonso. We look forward in see you at the back of the pack next year.

The time when the FIA decisions are based on the contents of material sourced from YouTube, is the time I will lose interest in F1.

Hamilton is fully deserving of his position in the championship afterall he proved that once again in Shanghai qualifying earlier.

As for Alonso if he was as good as he says he is, then it would reflect in the championship standings.

Look,

Lewis Hamilton braked because he had to, when did you hear that the guy behind a braking car was not at fault because he hit the car in front of him ? Come on we get taught that at civil driving schools that you keep a safe distance from the car in front of you, in F1 that is all the more important. The FIA were right not to penalise him. I dont see any rearview wing-mirrors in F1! Sorry Fernando, maybe next year eh ?
