if the drivers were allowed to overtake each other during the safety car period. I know sounds stupid but it would be really amusing for us fans to watch. As soon as one driver got overtook, he would immediatley overtake to get his place back, all the drivers would be constantly fighting for position at a reduced pace. I'd pay to see that.

It is called safety car for a reason!
Anyways Vettel kind of tried doing that and we didnt like the results, right?
To be honest, there is no fun in watching slow speed overtaking. Its a racing overtake only if it is done unrestrained, the other will be a choreograph, after a few you will feel real bored.

You have obviously never raced,this happened by accident several years ago, the driver was decapitated after hitting an ambulance door. Mosport Park. Edit ................. No video, no such thing then,I said many years ago, and why would you want to see it?

well..the whole point of the safety car is to stop people driving as in a race, and overtaking and etc..
if want to watch that then watch gp2 or gp3 the engines are much smaller there...

I don't think so. It is safety car. If they do that. Then what is the point of safety cars? It would be quiet dangerous too.

alot of times in racing poeple do get their spot back after being passed.
