i know that back when nascar outlawed dodge it was because they were winning everthing but why did it take so long to get back in the sport i think nascar wants dodge and ford to lose look at there cars they have flatter front ends giving less downforce What do you think

I mean, this latest thing with Robby Gordon is crazy! Motorola doesn't even have service and Nextel doesn't make phones (at least I don't think so). So how is allowing Gordon to have Motorola as a sponsor an infringement on Nextel's rights? I understand not allowing new cellular providers as sponsors (although I don't necessarily agree with it), but this seems a bit over the top! P.S. Go Longhorns!

As and F1 (and IRL) fan, I'm often told by certain NASCAR fans that I'm watching the wrong racing series. When I ask why I always get one of five answers:

1: NASCAR has a bigger audience.

2: NASCAR has more drivers.

3: NASCAR has more over taking.

4: [insert driver name here] would totally beat the all those F1 drivers.

5: F1 sucks!

I hate to say it but these things isn't going to make me want to watch NASCAR. And I have tried, several times.

I want you guys to do a little reasearch on this sport all of you clearly love with a passion and give me some good solid reasons about anything: the history of the sport, the mechanics of the cars, proof about how good these drivers are, etc.

I want to feel like I'm missing out on something big.

Just throwing insults at F1 then not only will you get a thumbs down (scary, I know) but it will also damage my view of NASCAR fans.

You want an outsider's respect then give me a well thought out answer.

the prerace takes forever and now if you go to church of the evening you miss the end of the race i know the time is different on the west coast but if they went to church or slept in they would at least see the end of the race for people on the east coast we cant go to church in the evening and see the end of a race anymore can nascar not start the races at the same time they used to and show it on the west coast on a time delay or something so that the races dont end up running so late into the evening ?

Jeremy is 0 for 3 in qualifying what should be a fast car. Can 360 OTC pull out if they want to, or is the money already committed for the full year? Could Davis fire Mayfield, or would he have to pay him until 2009 since his contract is until then? Mayfield walked away from the best ride he would ever have (Evernham) - he's close to being officially "washed up".

If Kevin Harvick has to cover the Shell logos on his uniform because SUNOCO says so; will Tony Stewart have to cover his entire (Home Depot) car at a track like Lowe’s Motor Speedway? How about the Ford 400, will they still allow Chevy to display the bowtie logo as they dominate the track?

Lighten up NASCAR!

I have:
1st. Massa
2nd. Raikkonen
3rd. Hamilton

I think alonso is going to have an engine failure, from trying to keep up with the ferraris. My darkhorse for the podium is Kubica.

I think the whole concept of turning right scares nascar fans. It too much for their brains to process. F1 cars are faster, better looking, WAY more technologically advanced, and have WAY better drivers. Seriously, you people only make yourselves sound stupid over there, and need to stop. The only background it sounds like you have on F1 is from that hillbilly movie "talladega nights". And if that is true, I almost feel sorry for you. I know most of you are just uninformed children. You can have you precious nascar, and us intelligent race fans will stick to F1, where the REAL drivers, cars, money, and knowledge is.

I'll be there! I've already bought my tickets & i am bringing my little brother along. He's a NASCAR nut! I don't follow it, but I have been getting really excited about going. I've been told that you don't have to be a NASCAR fan to thoroughly enjoy going to a race so i'm really looking forward to it.

I also purchased "FanZone" tickets for us. Has anyone done this before? How is it? Do you get to meet any drivers?

I thought HOTPASS was doing a pretty decent job on picking drivers for Sundays race. The only problem I have is this.. The fact that were on our 4th race of the season and Jeff Gordon has YET to be carried on the programming (not counting end of Daytona when Johnson wrecked).. Ok, Don't get me wrong. He doesn't have to be on HOTPASS EVERY WEEKEND. But Crap! There are Gordon fans out there... Alot more then DIRECT-TV recognizes I think. I mean look @ Jr.. He will be on hotpass this weekend for the 3rd time this season. Lets not mention the races where they covered SADLER @ the back all day, JARRETT @ the back all day... I understand they need to carry one of these back-of-the-field drivers but this HOTPASS is new this year!! First time it's ever been available. Why not put the most-winning driving in NASCAR currently on there?! It's ludacris. And for all you Gordon Bashers that answer this. Leave your jealous bullcrap @ home. Better yet, Post it! I need a good laugh today boys....

I know it will still be Chevy ,Ford,Dodge, and Toyota, but they are getting rid of the traditional stock car for cars that look like they were in the movie The Fast and the Furious. Let those fools who like small cars and bigass wings have their own league.! Next thing you know they will race a Honda Civic! GOD HELP NASCAR!!!!!

nascar doesn't race here for awhile yet, but I'm wondering what people think of it. it's my home track, and I have grown to love the place. do you hate it? 2 races, too many? too long? i will say the racing was a lot better before the new gear rule, when they used to shift on the straightaways. it is a different track though, with 3 different style turns, which i always liked. how do you nascar fans feel about Pocono?

The teams went to harder compound tires, and the drivers were all over the track and they could not keep their cars from being "loose". What's your opinion?

I am 24 years old and have always been a great driver, my friends don't trust anyone driving drunk but me. I have never had an accident or been caught by the police on a chase. I am in the 98 percentile in hand I coordination, which is what makes a good driver. So, my question is how do I start?
