I just wanted to post a positive question where hopefully all of us great NASCAR fans can unite for a minute. Don't get me wrong though, I enjoy all questions in here and disliking certain drivers is part of what's fun about NASCAR. So tell me why you love NASCAR?

I am a big fan of moto GP and WSBK.
The racing is close with races coming down to being won by 1/1000ths of a second. Top speeds of 210mph+. Unbelieveable overtaking manouveres. Still with the interest of the technical side of tire set ups and Italian V-twins vs Japanese 4-cylinder bikes.
Riders have real rivalries on and off the track.
My question (and its an honest one) What is the big deal with F1? Compared to the bikes it just seems boring! please explain.

Taking my son to the Bud Shootout next week and have general admission seats. We also have FANZONE access so we will be spending alot of time in the infield. Does anyone know if it is possible to save seats with a blanket or cushions in the general admission seating grandstands so we don't end up having to worry about our vantage point for the race?

It seems that everyday there are more, and more people responding to questions with no details of why they feel the way they do. If your a Stewart fan, then back him up with some details! Same with Jr, or anyone else. I really get tired of the name calling and insulting that goes on without the proof, or details of why people feel the way they do. If you want to do the name calling then fine! Compliment your name calling with other details... We could all understand eachother a little better if you left us some details... I know Nascar fans get the dumb hillbilly/ redneck sterotype... but come one, put it together, and tell us why you feel the way you do...

Is this too much to ask? Is anyone else with me on this, or am I just expecting too much... I just want details, so I dont have to read "My guy fast... Your guy bad..."

when cingular sponsorship is up on the 31 car, nascar sponsor NEXTEL, is not going to let them renew the contract because it is a rival telecom. company.
i can not find a link on this right now,sorry.i did see it on SPEED TV though.

Toyota in Nascar? Goodwrench and in fact GM not sponsoring a team? Is there nothing sacred anymore? Bad enough we lost Ford! Who is next to enter, Nissan? I stopped watching the trucks when Toyota entered. The thought of seeing Toyota running with the big 3 makes me ill. Yeah, I know. Toyota employes a lot of Americans and produces a lot of cars here and I know a lot of people love thier imports. They just don't belong in motor sport with it's roots based on runnin' shine! Next thing you know, the stands will be filled with polo shirted, boat shoed, wine drinking neophytes bringing their clients to races to discuss business over sushi and tea!

I'm 19 years old and dream of racing motorcycles. I know all about how to get involved in "dirt bike" racing but would love any information about getting some wheels on to tarmac. I'm especially interested in racing 125cc-250cc machines of any age or spec.

Last night on ESPN all 3 NASCAR experts picked their Top 5's and none of them had Dale Junior, Biffle, or Hamlin. Johnson and Kenseth were on all 3. They are the only drivers who have made the Chase all 3 years along with Mark Martin who is now semi-retired.
