the "iceman" terry labonte is now gonna be permanately retired after the 2006 nascar season has ended.
my question:
is anybody a fan of terry's(besides me)?will he be missed,even though he has not raced a full scedule in a couple of years,and did not do to well when he did race this year?
i will miss his presence at the races.

I'm not saying that fans of stock cars are "rednecks", I have absolutely no idea what that means. But I have this dilemma. What is it that makes you like stock cars and hate other motorsports, like Formula 1 for example?
What is it that you hate about Formula 1? I have been watching it for 10 years and I haven't seen anything that you saw as wrong. And I know a lot about F1.


And how come any driver can be greater than someone who won a title 5 times, in 4 different teams, in cars that could kill you in any second? I don't get it.

go to any rally cross meeting and you see evos and scoobies eaten and by the likes of rover metros, ford fucus and everything else out there. everyone seems to wonder round wearing their subaru jackets, to be honest i'd be embarest when you see them getting lapped on the track. off the track my tuned MG ZS 2.5 V6 not only looks sooooo much better but it leaves the afore mentioned escort look alikes for dead dispite beeing 2 wheel drive. my theory is that on play station games evos and scoobies are portrayed as good cars. anyone else realised?

I've noticed that on some things you can buy with Jr.s car on it that it doesnt say Budweiser on it but on some things it does. But on Rusty Wallaces things, it does have Miller Lite on it and i was just wondering why on some things it doesnt have Budweiser on the car?, it usually just says Jr. on it.

Can someone please explain(if possible) the points system of NASCAR? It seems to me that Denny Hamlin should be behind Dale Jr., since the last 2 races, since he infact was runnin way better than him. Im goin insane with the points system. Theres been times I've chewed all my nails because Jr. should have been the leader more than one time!! Im I crazy or does NASCAR not want Jr. to be successful?

I heard it argued both ways, so I thought I would ask the experts in Yahoo. One person claims that without any athletes, it can not be called sport and should be relegated to sports entertainment. The second person argues that there is a championship at the end, like most sports have. Who is right?
