Why does Toyota not belong??? Some people are so scared of change it makes me laugh. If Nascar wants to become the Number 1 sport, which you can tell Brian France wants, Then Change is a good thing. Toyota will bring in more Fans and more great Race teams. I see no reason why Toyota does not belong. Most of the "Big 3" are now made out of country anyways. So do they not belong either. I think Toyota will do fine and I wish them all the luck!
By the way this is coming from someone who has never bought anything but a Chevy!! Change can be good, I think I will!

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing as I think that change can be a good thing if you apply the right changes, and every sport you look at isnt what it used to be its all about the money in every single sport, its about who wins the most races or games and who gets paid the most, and etc, and how much tickets cost to get it and etc, everything revolves around money without it our economy would be nothing. Toyota I think will inspire USA car manufacturers to change their car productions by getting better fuel mileage, and etc to make the cars more efficient and thats a good thing, and it would lower gas prices, and limit how much we pay for gas and etc, so thats not bad, as Ford hasnt been lost they just basically suck, as Im a chevy and Jeff Gordon fan, and I think that Toyota has as good of a chance as anyone does. I think that the more global NASCAR becomes the better it makes the sport and it will become the #1 sport in the world, thats always a good thing, and like someone else said Chevy has won the most championships, and the big 3 has been around forever, but some of the good ones have dropped out, and other foreign cars used to race like Jag or something used to run a long time ago or some other foreign car, so it was okay then, and thats a different stereotype now as people assume NASCAR is for redneck drunks with no life, yeah right, and I think what matters is they way the driver can drive and the action, and what happens on the track like someone else mentioned. So change can be a good thing just it depends on how you look at it.

NASCAR is growing and there is a good and bad side to it. The good! More teams and manufactures (Toyota) means the more (good) young drivers we can move up from the Busch series. Also with the addition of Toyota hopefully the BIG 3 will put some more cash into our teams. The bad! The bigger it gets the more money we pay for tickets, the more drivers will shift for the bigger buck. Loyalty will no longer have a place on the drivers or owners side. Winning is always key but the more money teams shell out drivers will have to win right away. No more giving him a season or two to develop. They are going to have to cap the growth sooner or later hopefully it will be before the wheel fall off.

Yes I know whre you are coming from. The foreign car revolution has begun. But it is not new Chrysler(Dodge) is owned by Daimler
same owne as Mercedes.
I have heard lot of people who are tired of the same B.S. every week.Today drivers whine if they wreck, whine if they do not win, whine if they don't get their way,whine- whine- whine.
Drivers in the 60's and 70's and lesser the 80's were real drivers. They could build a car as well as drive.
The 90's brought in the over paid hired drivers. The family team died the real drivers were placed to pasture and the so called super drivers now are taking over the Busch series.
So real NASCAR is gone. The substitute is predictable as to winner, and why not most of the tracks are cookie cutters and a no brainer set up.
WallStreet and GQ owns NASCAR.It is at the point most people can not go to the races because hy ar priced out.
Now Toyota is in the fold and I am not a fan of them but if I want to watch a race I have few choices.I will not be happy but I am just a common fan and not a preppy GQ type.
All I would like to say to NASCAR is make stock car racin right for those of us that have been fans since the 50's and 60's.

A lot of it is about money, but at the same time it's about wanting to go global and bring in even MORE fans. Look at what has happened with the fan base in just recent years. The viewers and fans are younger now and you have to admit, they can bring in a lot of money! So now we expand, go global and get the teens all over the world. In some ways it is about NASCAR trying to be a sport for everyone. Will it be? NEVER! I know that is what France is trying to do, though. Pushing to get more women drivers and a more ethnically diverse group of drivers, too. In the end I think it will be a good thing. It will always be a sport for the good 'ol boys. Nothing can change that aspect of the sport!

Just get over it.
None of the cars resemble the cars they sell anyway.
I have been a Nascar fan since 78. I don't watch it because of the make of car. I wouldn't buy any of the cars anyway. The Fusion is ugly, the chevy has no style, the dodge, well that speaks for itself. I watch the sport for the action, the driver's, and the tracks they are on. Don't really care what manufaturer it is. I follow the driver's mainly. If they can drive a car, then it doesn't matter to me who makes the damn thing. Besides moonshining has been gone for a long time, as well as most of the driver's that ran moonshine. It's a sport of auto racing that's it. Still a fan and will always be a fan.
Nascar is becoming more global and that is fine with me.
Look at it this way. Dodge trucks are put together in Canada. Chevy trucks are assembled in Mexico. Now ***** about it.

As far as whining that is not a new thing some drivers have been whining since they came to nascar, two words Rusty Wallace, biggest whinger in nascar. As far as Toyota, they have no place in Nascar, it is truly an American sport and need to be kept American. Look at what the foreigners did to Indy cars. I dont watch Indy races because they are a joke, not about racers any more just Italian shoes silk shirts and !@#$ers who wont drink the traditional milk after the race. God Bless America

Sorry Dude...the days of 'polo shirted, boat shooed, wine drinking neophytes bringing their clients to races to discuss business over sushi and tea!' are already here. If you ever get a chance to visit a luxury suite at a race...you'll see for yourself.
Less than 10 years ago...the driver field was dominated with drivers who called NC, GA, TX, etc...home. Look now. CA, WA, WI, MO...all great states, but not Southern.
Furthermore, the France family has literally sold-out it's core fan base, in search of the global money. Nascar has lost face with it's Southern roots... and so it goes.

You are so right!!! I have been a racing fan since my dad ran the Figure-8 races in the 1950's. I jumped in joy when they brought NASCAR to our t.v. at home. I live on the west coast, so going to the races is not an easy thing for me. Last year a friend wanted to take me to Sonoma, when I saw the prices, OMG, that's sick. It is all about $$$$$$$$$$$ now. NASCAR is an American tradition, good ole' boys, fast AMERICAN cars, and a brawl or two! Thank goodness some one else sees what is going on. Runnin' shine WAS the beginning. NASCAR brings in more FANS than any other sport, and it should stay true to it's roots! I never miss a race, from the comfort of my home, and I will even have Boogity,Boogity,Boogity on my headstone.

What once grow to be the proper sequence contained in the states via being what followers loved a inventory automobile racing sequence that had automobiles that gave the effect of the motorcar you drove with classic guidelines that each and each race fan understood with wealthy in historic past of NASCAR drivers not stars. That a father and son who accompanied outfitted from the forties to the proper of the ninety's a corporation that each and each American should be pleased with. TO a chain that has automobiles that should be the motorcar you force per chance? AA sequence that pushed the individuals the television channels and sponsors aside for a mind lifeless bunch of round ball loving youngsters that do not realize a element about the game. Oh they understand cellphones. Which leads me to the guideline replacing so this bunch can like there events of all variety in hardship-free words to do not forget that those guidelines do not flow with automobile racing and the guideline makers are so finished of there selves they gained't admit it in hardship-free words save attempting to fix a element that could't be fastened. I even do not understand how anybody who loved racing ought to arise with such crap. The drivers immediately at the instantaneous are not a brother, son, cousin of a motive force or a guy that worked his way by skill of the ranks they're superb tuned solid searching sponsor sponsored driving stars. i do not ideas the open wheel adult adult males coming in yet for NA$automobile to all yet close down there minor league then that is faulty. immediately's NA$automobile must be between the fastest down falling corporation's that a son has ever destroyed. And he's pleased with it. I purely have a difficult time believing for a 2d that the former NA$automobile individuals may even imagine what has take position to there sport. i extremely get dissatisfied not boo hoo dissatisfied the different variety pi$$ed off to the hilt dissatisfied that distinctive keep on with this crap and talk like that is theres and alway has been and they are 12. about a similar age Brian France ought to imagine he's. properly he acts it besides. i decide on to resign. one better element regardless of the reality that I have stopped helping NA$automobile the position it hurts and that is the wallet i understand i'm only a itsy bitsy element yet i do not purchase stuff any better with NASCAR on it. It harm very last evening too, i needed Klondike ice cream bars so undesirable yet i purchased the 2d best.
