How do I get into the world of motocycle racing?

I'm 19 years old and dream of racing motorcycles. I know all about how to get involved in "dirt bike" racing but would love any information about getting some wheels on to tarmac. I'm especially interested in racing 125cc-250cc machines of any age or spec.

look for clubs who have regular meetings and join, there must be lots of journal magazines advertising the meets, don't know if you are in u.k. but it's T.T. races 1st April, if you want to see some fantastic racing jump on the ferry, it's unmissable for any enthusiast. you will find it on the net under T.T.
