I'll be there! I've already bought my tickets & i am bringing my little brother along. He's a NASCAR nut! I don't follow it, but I have been getting really excited about going. I've been told that you don't have to be a NASCAR fan to thoroughly enjoy going to a race so i'm really looking forward to it.
I also purchased "FanZone" tickets for us. Has anyone done this before? How is it? Do you get to meet any drivers?

That is one of my favorite tracks! You are quite lucky to have the pleasure to go! I may be attending the Martinsville Subway Fresh 500 race (it's the 2nd martinsville race held during October). I've never purchased Fanzone tickets, but I'm sure there is some sort of feature that makes them really good. NASCAR tries hard to make fans happy, so basically anything you buy for the race or when you are at the race is something cool. And yes, you can definetly meet drivers! You can go on the qualifying day to see if you can get down to the pits to meet drivers. Or, you can buy a pitpass, which gives you a tour of the race track and a chance to meet pit teams and drivers. Also, many drivers have fan events where they pay complete attention to giving out autographs and taking pictures with the fans. So, you have a lot of opportunities to meet the drivers! Have fun!!

The fan zone is cool, but not sure that you will get that close to any drivers, unless they have an appearance scheduled there. There is a lot to see and do at Daytona though and I am certain that you will this will not be your last race.

I wish I could go, but I live all the way in Chicago. But, I'm going to Chicagoland Speedway on Friday, July 13th. Have fun at Daytona!

i wish i could go,in my opinion thats the best 1,because of bump drafting,i luv it,and have a good chance of meeting drivers.
