It looks like a tire wars getting ready to happen.The last time the Goodyear tires had such poor tires Hoosier challenged and produced a better tire,but there were serious accidents and fingers were pointed at Hoosier so NASCAR dropped the contract.
Now Goodyear is making tires to go faster but most tracks(including some that have been resurfaced) ar not conducive to the speed that teams are trying to get.So unfortunatlly that may be the out come.
That's all I have to say about that.

Not likely to result in a fatality, the in-car safety equipment is too good for that.
But they skidded around at Vegas because they were so hard. And they got eaten up at Atlanta because they were so soft. While I'd rather the tires were better matched to the track, it sure makes things interesting and separates the good drivers from the mediocre ones. The thing I don't like is that the drivers have to pedal a bit to save the tires for a run when they're supposed to be able to wind it out at Atlanta (Nascar's fastest track)
