Laxman seems to be untested quality. He is good in batting and fielding in slips, but does he command enough respect from seniors, well one thing is sure Dravid will thrive under him along with Kumble. It obviously means Sachin has backed out and Ganguly is not being considered at all. Yuvi is not fit for test cricket. It seems to interesting development.

Curt Schilling was 9-8 with a era of 3.87 and was paid $13,000,000 dollars. That's 1,444,444 dollars per win.

He won only 9 games pitching behind a Red Sox offense who own the World Series. How much is he worth at the age of 41?

He listed these as teams he would play for. In knowing Schilling's ego we know he wants to be the ace more than likey. Most of these teams have the ace pitcher with the exception of a few.
Boston - Beckett
Cleveland - Sabathia
Detroit - Verlander
Anaheim - No real ace
New York Mets - No real ace
Philadelphia - Hamels
Atlanta - Hudson
L.A. - Schmidt
S.D. - Peavy
Arizona - Webb
Chicago Cubs - Zambrano
St. Louis - Ro real ace
Milwaukee - No real ace
New York Yankees - Wang
( Yes, hes said he would not rule them out )

first he is the Yoko Ono of American open wheel racing, now he's the Lee Harvey Oswald of American formula 1 racing, I hope the France family have him on their x-mass card list because they are the only people he's helping with is careless "business" endeavors as much as I love racing I thinking im going to boycott the IRL, since he wants to ruin all the other open wheel series I will do my part to ruin his, do you agree or disagree?

You can choose anyone from the history of the game, dead or alive, as long as they are no longer active. (Obviously dead folks fit this criteria!) Please elaborate on why you liked and/or admired them. Was it their skills on the field? Their personality? Their accomplishments? Their competitive nature? Something else? Whatever it was that makes you like him.

Thanks in advance for your thoughtful responses!

It looks like the Tigers are gearing up to destroy one team and one team only. The team that knocked them out this year, Cleveland. Trading for Renteria was blattently a move to overcome the Indians ie 97 world series and Batting avg against the Tribe is through the roof. Anybody think the Indians can repeat the magic of 07?

They have one in Pee Wee football, I guess some NFL players think they need one too. We don't want to crush their little egos. Maybe we should just quit keeping score?

Doesn't have to be the best player of all time, just some you liked watching play.
Mine is Drew Bledsoe (please don't laugh at me). I think he was a great QB and didn't get the credit he deserved.

the level they are all at should put them above personal attacks on other teams and their team mates, but AROD has no common decency and it shows time and time again, he is low as low can be and no amount of money will ever make him better. The red sox will never sign him because hs is not about the team- he is all about himself and thats why he lost it all this year, including the biggest thing- self respect, he has none do you agree?

Mine would be in 93 when my beloved Man Utd beat Sheff Wed with an injury time header from Brucie. It almost made sure of the title and the reaction of Fergie and the fans after 26 years of hurt was just unbelievable.

The game itself wasn't a classic but memorable for all the emotions it put me through!!!
