When hunting dogs are used are they allowed to hurt the animal chased (ie, bite, attack or kill the animal hunted)?

Do they merely back the animal into a corner, not touch it at all & wait for the hunter to come and do that job himself?

How do the dogs fetch the hunter to let him know an animal has been caught?

How many dogs are usually used to hunt?

I'm asking b/c we have to write a story from the point of view of a deer in a story we read (The Deer of Providencia)

TDOP begins with travelers who see a deer roped to a tree. The deer was caught by village dogs. (The village is in Providencia, Ecuador and perhaps the hunting system there is different than in the US) The deer is still alive and throughout the story goes through a lot of agony while roped to the tree before finally dying. (leading me to wonder what role the dogs played and how the hunters managed to get the deer tied to the tree in the 1st place)

Any help is appreciated. Dont turn this into a debate.

They weren't that good last year either. Look at their schedule from last year then look at the fact that Ohio State beat them. Then Ohio State lost to Florida 41 - 14(DEMOLISHED). Then to top it all off they lost to USC in the bowl game, the same USC that lost to an unranked team. Where is the surprise?

Is anyone else sick of everyone criticizing Michigan for losing? The players are only human like everyone else, but heaven forbid if they lose two games. Everyone talking about Michigan being a disgrace or kicking Michigan out of the Big Ten just needs to shut the hell up. I can't wait for a top team such as USC or West Virginia to lose just to see how everyone will react.

I was just checking historical stats at mlb.com and I saw that old pitchers such as Cy Young, Walter Johnson, etc have more than 700 and 500 complete games... some of the people have complete games over games started ratio is 97 or 96... out of 100 games started, 97 were complete games... honestly wins or losses do matter, but what did these guys use to eat... what do you think is the possible reason for this?

Day by day our bowling department becomes bad to worse now worse to very worse. Indian population is 100 crores, but Bcci still unable to produce 4 bowlers genuine wicket taking, match winning, run containing bowler. is utter shame. Zaheer, RP Singh, Agarkar, chawla fit for nothing. What happen to munaf patel, L.Balaji, T.Kumaran, and other fast bowler. Worst team management is BCCI
