It's basically the same move.
Randy Orton jumps a bit higher on his move, and he uses only one hand.
DDP, though, was a lot more creative (he really had about a 100 different ways of pulling off that move) and effective with his finisher.

Randy Orton does have the same move than Diamond Dallas Page. The difference of them two, besides the obvious (the name of it), is that Randy Orton normally waits until the opponent is almost unconscious, stands and then he does "The RKO". DDP, "The Diamond Cutter", just comes out of nowhere. The same thing goes for Booker T with "The Bookend" and The Rock with "The Rock Bottom". More of the moves names are modified to the nam of the wrestler so they will have an originality on their finisher.

It's basically the same move but DDP was the originator and master of it. Orton does it one way: knock opponent down, get on belly and look at opponent, then get up and tell EVERYONE the RKO is coming (15 or 20 minutes of looking intense and mean, motion for opponent to get up), do the RKO. DDP on the other hand was very creative with the move and he could pull it off from any direction at any time, as JR would say "quicker than a hiccup", BANG! You knew it was coming, you just didn't know when. With Orton there is no surprise. The Diamond Cutter is the original; the RKO is a pale imitation.

Diamond Cutter = 3/4 facelock Ace-Crusher
RKO = Jumping Ace-Crusher
So, yeah, it's pretty much the same move. The difference being that one is usd by one of the coolest wrestlers in modern wrestling history, the other is used by Randy Orton.
Diamond Cutter:

RKO:

As for the stunner- it's considered a variation of the Ace-Crusher, but it's a completely different move as far as I'm concerned.
Also, just watch the first four minutes of this and you can see the original Ace-Crusher done off the apron:

AmberLynn, the moves are actually identical. No need to be sarcastic. And that video of the RKO on RVD shows a botched move, not a good one.

Orton is one of those guys who is tough to figure out whether he's playing his character or actually throwing a tantrum. I agree totally that Kingston seemed especially flat in this match and screwed-up quite a bit, but most of the screw-ups were with Cena, and he didn't really botch any move that would have hurt Orton's collarbone. Kingston just ended up doing a bunch of punches, looking almost like he forgot his scripted move set or something. Either way, Orton shouldn't be pissy with him, so hard to tell whether real or not. Also, DiBiase screwed up his own move with the interference too. You couldn't really tell he hit Kingston. Edit: Brandon, Kofi didn't get up at all after the RKO. Orton shouted 'stupid stupid' even before he covered Kofi. And I don't care, I like MVP as a heel, but his face status is ok. I agree he needs to move up to main event status, the US title matches are from two years ago. I wanted Kingston as I'm sick of both Cena and Orton in the title matches.

It is exactly the same move.
I never understood why people assume the RKO was created by Randy Orton or is better than the Diamond Cutter.

That would be because it's the same move. You are often praised on your powers of observation aren't you? I can tell.
