Sports - 17 August 2007

I was thumbing through a sporting goods catalog recently and was slightly amused/horrified to see fake geese, a fake cow, all manner of subterfuge to make hunting animals easier. I thought the whole point of hunting was the challenge. Between canned hunts and all these silly fakes, where's the sport?

For the record, I'm not a hunter, but hunting is legal and protected. I respect that right. And I do appreciate that someone else killed that cow I had in burger form.

I ve been investigating this whole "ninjutsu" thing for a little bit now and I am wondering if its even really a fighting art. And what about the outfits with the black hood and and suit and all? Is that really an accurate depiction of what ninjas looked like?

Can anyone tell me a good site that will provide me a list of the players? I seen a guy at last years draft that used CBS Sports and it looked like it was in some sort of order listing the best players first. They had a rating beside each player letting him know the best possible player to take I believe. Thanks

I'm 16 (female), and I will be running cross country in the fall. I run between a 8-10 min. mile, and I run everyday. Does anyone have any tips that will help me get my time down to between 6 & 7 min. in the next month or so? Thanks, any tips are great!

Will you please stop hating on wrestlers. first off Wrestling is a tough business and we should give our support to every wrestler now i know a lot of people hate Cena (i do to a little) but he works his *** off for the business. saying you don't like a wrestler is ok but when you take it to far is just wrong. you wouldn't last 1 minute in another wrestlers shoes so please stop talking crap.

I think it is weird that someone would only list hunting as a more stressful activity than a treadmill. Aren't there a lot of activities that strain the heart more than a walk on a flat surface? Yet they seem to single this out, with no real groundbreaking data or stunning statistics. I dunno. What do you guys think?

About the Qualifying. Mainly how Micheal Waltrips team him and Reutimann went 11th and 12th. Who Also Suprised me were Elliot Sadler Qualifying 5th, Bobby Labonte 4th and Greg Biffle 2nd. He hasnt had a good year so far.

He's excluded from the Hall of Fame ballot. Put him on during his eligibility, let the voters decide. He may not make it, but he deserves to be voted down rather than omitted from the list of candidates.

Does anyone know of a plan for beginner runners? And I REALLY mean beginner....I "ran" today and here's what I did: Warmed up for 5 minutes easy then started to run at about 5 mph. Could only go for 2 minutes then I had to walk for a minute. I kept doing the 2 minutes, one minute thing then cooled down. I suck and need to get better. I really want to enjoy going for a run. HELP!

I have had just about all I can stand with people asking if Jr will be in the # 8 car next year. I mean come on folks, can't you read?? can't you hear??
