For #2 I meant in the NHL.

Change that last bit. Just go with Post-Challenge Cup era. It gets way too difficult to follow through that mess.

2007-08-17 17:13:09 · update #2

Two things:
1. No one has put down all the teams for #1
2. All divisions mean ALL DIVISIONS, women included.

1. Technically, the first season was meant to have 5 teams (Quebec Bulldogs, Montreal Wanderers, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto, Ottawa Senators), the Bulldogs didn't play in that first NHL season and therefore weren't a founding NHL team, says so right here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quebec_Bulldogs#National_Hockey_League_and_the_move_to_Hamilton_1917-1925 The Wanderers had their arena burn down and had to quit after playing six games, says so right here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1917-18_NHL_season#Regular_season So the first NHL season ended with only 3 teams (Canadiens, Toronto, Senators). But the teams that started it therefore founding it were the Montreal Wanderers, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto and Ottawa Senators. There ya go.

2. Bruins.

3. Henri Richard

4. Vladimir Krutov, Igor Larionov, Sergei Makarov.

5. Seattle Metropolitans

6. Medicine Hat Tigers, Plymouth Whalers, Lewiston MAINEiacs, Vancouver Giants.

7. D-1: Michigan State, D-3: Oswego State in men's. D-1: Wisconsin, D-3: Plattsburgh State, in women's.

8. 10 (2 as player, 8 as coach), says so right here: http://www.hickoksports.com/biograph/blaketoe.shtml

9. International Hockey League.

10. Thunder Bay Thunder Hawks.

11. QMJHL, WHL, OHL.

12. Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Mike Bossy, Maurice Richard, Brett Hull.

13. 1893, there were no challengers to Montreal HC, they got the Cup, but didn't play for it. 1919, because of the Spanish Flu. And in 2005 because of the lockout.

I'm not 100% on the last one.

~

If I got all of them right, then I'm the first one to get them all.

~~

I didn't look at anyone else's answers, I researched everything myself.

~~~
Why did everyone put "1" for the 50 in 50 club? It's 5, officialy, says so right here: http://www.armchairgm.com/index.php?title=50_goals_in_50_games I was sure it was 5. Am I missing something?
~~~~

If for #1 you mean the teams in the olden days, then yeah it was the Wanderers, Canadiens, Senators, and Toronto Arenas (it wasn't an official name).

~~~~~
I fixed all my errors, and for #7 it's PLAttsburgh St., not Pittsburgh state. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCAA_Women%27s_Ice_Hockey_Championship
~~~~~~

BTW, I was the first one to make a list with all the answers filled in, the other guys had only like 8 answers filled in when I submitted mine.

Yeesh.. and I bet someone beat me anyway.

Dammit, lost to a trick question on #13.

*another edit* Hmm.. Toe Blake was on it as something other than a coach I guess. Oh well.

Also, Thunder Bay ThunderCATS!?!? hahaha.. oh man, I guess I had a moment of 80's cartoon goodness there. I even looked that up. DUH.

Updated all my mistakes, on the off chance it'll be accepted anyway (Final Update! I CHANGED #1)

Wikipedia says Toe Blake won a cup with the Maroons, but I can't verify anywhere that his name is on it with them. As for everything else, give it to Mike. heh. It's late, I'm tired, and the questions weren't asked specifically enough ;)
