baseball players still need to hit the ball and if they do it is not always going to be a home run.

If you look at the English league or Spanish league, or infact most other leagues you usually get scores of 2-1 or 3-2 or even higher, why is it Americans complain about this. If you look at the english league you only see a couple of 0-0 draws over many weeks. In American football a game can last up to 4 hours and over that time the score are often only in the 20s or even less.
Do Americans not realise that the reason why the points difference is so big is due to the fact that you get 6 points for a touchdown and then an extra point for the mighty hard part of kicking a ball over and between an unguarded goal, also another point for doing the same thing in open play. A game of football lasts at most 1 hour 50 mins(from start to finish) and you only get 1 goal(point) for a goal. Australia beat Samoa 31-0 in soccer yet the highest score I can find in NFL is Washington (72)vs. N.Y. Giants (41),if you break it down, this is only 10-5 touchdowns at best. Why do you say this is the reason?

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Before he celebrates his windfall, the New York Mets fan who emerged from a violent scrum clutching Barry Bonds' record-setting home run ball should probably call his accountant.

As soon as 21-year-old Matt Murphy snagged the valuable piece of sports history Tuesday night, his souvenir became taxable income in the eyes of the Internal Revenue Service, according to experts.

"It's an expensive catch," said John Barrie, a tax lawyer with Bryan Cave LLP in New York who grew up watching the Giants play at Candlestick Park. "Once he took possession of the ball and it was his ball, it was income to him based on its value as of yesterda". This is not the whole article, sorry.

I need help please. Not that computer savy yet. I have never attached an article or video to my question so you can see it. How do I do that?

Cheating is breaking the rules since there weren't rules against steroids he couldn't have been cheating.

So instead of everyone being mad at him, shouldn't that anger be directed at Major League Baseball for not having better rules?

OK, the cat has 3,000 hits. Every other eligible player in baseball history with 3,000 hits is in, so why no love for Biggio? I mean, if this guy isn't in, who is?

Why are people crapping on Biggio?

The guy who caught Barry Bonds record breaking homerun ball might have to pay taxes on the ball he simply caught! A MLB baseball goes for about $14 dollars at Walmart. But the IRS says it will be valued at around half a million in taxable income and that skyrockets this guys tax base and he is just a college student. How can the IRS say that? This is crazy! Can you say taxation out of control...

I love Alstott, and am a huge fan of the way he played the game, but I just don't think he is. After all, it's the Hall of Fame, not the Hall of Really Good Players. He's like the Jeff Bagwell of football to me: so, so close, but not quite.

I could be wrong though. What do you think?

Football season just started and I've been dreading it the whole summer. I'm in my junior year and I have a good chance of starting. Last year I was one of 4 sophomores to dress varsity and I lettered too. I just don't want to play anymore. It's not fun for me, I hate every second of it, same with last year. I already stuck it out last year and I don't know if I can for 2 more years. I have other things in mind to do instead like getting a job and getting ready for wrestling season. I'm just scared to do it, I don't know what my teammates and coaches will think, I don't want to hurt the team, or regret it for the rest of my life. The only other things I've quit before were baseball and band, and I'm sure happy I quit them, I have no regrets with those.

Looking at course ratings/descriptions...
I understand that the yardage is the number of yards from the tee box to the center of the green. (championship, member, forward tees)

I understand that the par number is the total par for the 9 or 18 hole round.

What I don't get is 'slope'. I saw courses with similar total PAR ratings, with different 'slope' scores. The lower slope seemed to have shorter yardages -- but that wasn't always the case.

If not, will he at least play next year? and if he does, will it be one of these 3-4 month type contracts he has gotten the past 2 years. I think people should come to the conclusion that Roger isn't juicing anymore (come on people, the guy was roiding, lots of speculation out there, which made him be a power pitcher, longevity well into his 40's) and he's not worth 15-20 million. If he comes back next year, I think teams should only sign him IF HE IS GOING TO PLAY THE FULL YEAR. And if so, he is worth, in my opinion - 10-15 million.
